Commentary

India won by 6 wkts | Zimbabwe Vs India Live Score, 1st ODI

As expected, India have gone 1-0 ahead in the 5 match series. The two teams stay in Harare for the second match which will be played on Friday, the 26th of this month. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Kohli: 'Very happy to get the first win in the series. I am very pleased with the way we played. We needed to play percentage cricket. I thought the ball did a lot in the morning and our bowlers did very well. It was still seaming around when we batted, it was a challenge facing their skiddy bowlers. The toss plays a major role here in Harare, we have learnt from our past experience over here. I am happy for Rayudu, he has waited for a long time to play for India and has grabbed his opportunity well here'.
Kohli is the MoM for his fine 115
Taylor: 'We wanted to win the toss. The first 90 minutes were very vital, they bowled really well and we did not take the initiative against them. We need to take our chances against a quality side like India. We did well with the bat, hopefully our openers will be more positive in the next few matches. It was tough to catch up after our slow start. We wanted to break our innings into parts. Hopefully, we will learn from this and play better in the next match. Our fielding and bowling was pretty good, that is a big positive for us.'
A comprehensive victory for the Indians. The openers got starts but failed to build on. Virat Kohli scored his 2nd ton as captain in just 4 matches and was well supported by debutant Ambati Rayudu as the visitors chipped away at the target. Kohli scored his 15th ODI ton and Rayudu helped himself to a half century to seal India's dominance. Kohli and Raina fell towards the end, but the match was all but decided by then. India go 1-0 ahead and continue their winning streak.
