Commentary

Pakistan won by 6 wkts | South Africa Vs Pakistan Live Score, 2nd ODI

The two teams now move to Johannesburg for the 3rd ODI on Sunday. It is a day match and will start at 10 AM local time. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Irfan: 'It is great for Irfan and hopefully it is the first of many to come. He works hard and gives 100% everytime. He bowled according to the plan and it worked out very well in the end. Hopefully, he will repeat the performance in Johannesburg'. (Translations by Mohammad Akram, the Pakistan bowling coach).
Mohammad Irfan is the MoM for his 4/33.
Misbah: 'I think I way we started, especially Mohammad Irfan, that settled the isue for us, good show from all the bowlers. It is a really satisfying win for us, the batsmen are coming good for us. Irfan's section was good, he delivered the goods for us. I think there was variable pace and bounce off the surface, not an easy one to bat on. Happy to be playing on this ground. Thanks for all the support. We need to improve and will need to keep the momentum going.'
AB de Villiers: 'Very disappointing performance. Credit to them, they put us under pressure and kept us under the lid. I thought we had a small chance to defend, but Misbah controlled the game in the middle. We were not consistent enough. It is not the end for us, we will keep working hard and look to do well on Sunday. We will have a chat and look as to where we went wrong. Looking forward to playing at the Bull Ring. '
A captain's knock from Misbah. He led the chase with his usual calmness and with a cool head. Hafeez gave them a decent start and Younis and Malik put together vital stands with Misbah. The match was set up by the bowlers though, and Pakistan will travel to the Wanderers on an even kneel. The South African bowlers toiled hard, but were let down by the batsmen as well as a wet ball.
39.3 Kyle Abbott to Misbah-ul-Haq 1wd
