Special day for Thirimanne. This has been a very patient and solid hundred, one that he will remember for a long time. Australia were never in the game after posting a paltry total. Their only chance was in the initial overs. But apart from Tharanaga's wicket, the Lankan pair of Dilshan-Thirimanne gave nothing away and kept the required rate under control. In the end Thirimanne guided them to a win. He is also the Man of the Match.
