Commentary

That ends the coverage. Let's hope we get a better contest on Sunday when these two sides meet here again. Bye bye!

Clarke: 'It's nice to be in the other side. We have not made big scores in recent times so it's nice to be at the other side. These are great conditions for Test cricket actually. Conditions were fantastic for bowling, it had pace and bounce and Starc did very well. We were chasing a low total so we took a gamble by sending Glenn Maxwell as an opener. If he bats like this, he can open in every format! The next match on Sunday will be much tougher.'

Sammy: 'It did not go as planned. They hit us hard, we have to hit them harder in the next game. We have to adjust to the wicket quickly. The team backed itself to bat first, unfortunately we couldn't bat well. We have to come back strongly.'

Starc: 'It was nice to bowl and get some early wickets. It's always nice when the ball swings and it's better when I can bowl it with pace. I always try to run in smooth and bowl with pace. I enjoyed the wicket of Sarwan, wish I could do that often.'

Mitchell Starc is the Man of the Match

A complete hammering. West Indies just didn't turn up today. Only 33.1 overs were bowled today, which is less than a complete T20 game! This should completely demoralise the visitors. They were bowled out for just 70 in under 24 overs and Australia had no problems getting to the target. Glenn Maxwell had some fun in the middle and slogged his way to a half century, but the star of the day is undoubtedly Starc. His 5 for 20 completely blew away West Indies.
