Commentary

Australia won by 198 runs | Zimbabwe Vs Australia Live Score, 1st ODI Match

That ends match 1 of the tri-series. The next one is a biggie. Australia face South Africa at the same venue on Wednesday. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Marsh: 'I took a bit of time to adjust to the wicket, it was nice to catch up later. Batting at three is a great opportunity. Hopefully I will bat there for a while. Happy to contribute my bit to the team, both as a batsman and as well as a bowler.'
Mitchell Marsh is the MoM for his 83-ball 89
Bailey: 'Very happy, our openers took some time to asses the pitch. It did something early on, and then Mitch and Maxwell took over. All our bowlers had a decent spell each. We would like to get some hundreds, plenty of things to improve on when we play South Africa next. The picth was slow, and it became difficult to hit when the ball got soft, but Maxwell was outstanding. Nice to start the season with a win.'
Chigumbura: 'Outplayed, as simple as that. We just need to keep working hard, and hopefully in the next game.. The main focus is on our batting, but we keep losing wickets. There are 3 more games to go though. It's always hard (after such losses), but we need to keep our spirits up.'
A throughly professional performace from the Australians. They batted first, started slowly and exploded in the last 10 overs. Zimbabwe had no chance in chasing the target down, but barring Hamiltom Masakadza (70), none of the other batsmen showed any aptitude. Mitchell Johnson was fast while Starc swung the ball to a nicety. The others chipped in with wickets while Steven Smith finished off the tail. Zimbabwe's coach, Steven Mongango, didn't look too plesed with his lads and the hosts have a tough job after this heavy defeat. Stay tuned for the quotes..
