Commentary

That's all we have for you from here. Hope you have enjoyed our coverage. Do join us for the 2nd Test, which is starting on 20th March. Until then it's good bye from all of us here.....

Shillingford: I played some first class matches and that helped me. It always feels great to come back and play for West Indies. I tried to bowl a consistent line and kept the pressure. Hopefully I will go to Dominica and would like to repeat the same performance

Shane Shillingford is the Man of the Match for his figures of 9/107.

Darren Sammy: We did exactly what we wanted to do. Winning 5 Tests in a row is great. Shillingford bowled really well in this Test. I went out to bat and enjoyed myself there. I am an attacking batsman and I got some loose balls as well. Yesterday it was not about survival and I tried to attack them from the first ball. This was Shillingford's first match after his comeback and he bowled well. Powell also did well to take 6 catches.

Brendan Taylor: It was a tough Test, we didn't play well on the first day, but we came back strongly with the ball. If we had scored 300 in the first innings things could have been different. Not a lot of positives to take from this Test apart from Jarvis and Mawoyo. We have 4-5 days off and we will work on our mistakes. All our bowlers did well, but they didn't have enough score on the board. I am looking forward to the second Test and hopefully we will put up a much better show

Finally West Indies came back after the lunch break and managed to score the remaining 3 runs inside 2 overs. This was their 5th win in a row after having won 2 Tests each against New Zealand and Bangladesh. This win was largely due to the contribution of their bowlers as their batters found it hard to score freely, with the exception of Sammy. Shillingford was the pick of the bowlers, taking 9 wickets for 107 runs and he was ably supported by the pacers who kept the Zimbabwean batsmen on the back foot. Zimbabwe bowled well in parts, but were let down by their batsmen. So West Indies go one up in this 2-match series. Stay tuned for the presentation.....
