Hilarious: Will Kevin Pietersen be the England Cricket Mascot?

He maybe one of England’s greatest batsmen ever but Kevin Pietersen finds himself out of the national setup and of course for non-cricketing reasons. Termed a ‘disruptive influence’ English cricket slammed their doors on him. It has been two and half years since Pietersen last played for England. The door saw a big lock put up with the appointment of Andrew Strauss as England’s director. The rift between Pietersen and Strauss is well-known. KP, as he is fondly called, has not given up hopes but surely does not mind a joke on his England return. On a trip tosupermarket, KP tried his luck for a support role. On Instagram, he wrote, “I’d love to hold Cookie’s hand and walk out for the toss. Anyone else like to see that?”

Unfortunately for the English batsman, the Waitrose’ #TakeTheField competition’s terms and conditions do not act in his favour. It is only for children aged between 7 and 12. Sorry KP, better luck next time.
