Narendra Modi praises Irfan Pathan’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyan

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi complimented Irfan Pathan’s participation in Swacch Bharat Abhiyan campaign. Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel also praised the cricketer.

Earlier on Sunday, Pathan posted a picture of him participating in the Clean India movement in Baroda, along with local school kids.

The Clean India movement was introduced by the Prime Minister on October 2 and aims in making India a clean country by 2019, which also will be the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Pathan has played 29 Tests, 120 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 24 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for India. He has scored 1,105 Test runs, 1,544 ODI runs and 172 T20I runs. He has also claimed 100 wickets in Tests, 173 in ODIs and 28 in T20Is. He played a key part in India’s ICC World T20 Championship win in 2007.

Pathan shares a good rapport with the Indian Prime Minister, and earlier has also been present at his rally.
