Hong Kong started off on a scratchy note, and lost their way in the middle. But, Munir Dar and Nizakat Khan came together not only to stabilise their innings but also added 33 crucial runs to stabilise their side. Towards the end, it looked like a win isn’t possible for Hong Kong after Munir fell, but Haseeb Amjad and Nadeem Ahmed did well to score those last six runs. Read our match report here.

Haseeb Amjad and Nadeem Ahmed deserve rich applauds for the patience they have kept in the final over. First they scramble for five runs and then Haseeb hits a six off the fourth ball to seal the game for his side. A memorable win for the Hong Kong side.
Sabbir Rahman is introduced into the attack and the move works for Bangladesh. He cleans up Tanwir Afzal as Hong Kong lost their eighth wicket. They need six more runs to win from the final over.
OUT! T Afzal 0(7)
Big wicket! Abdur Razzak returns into the attack and traps the dangerous Munir Dar in front of the wickets. Hong Kong need nine more runs to win from two overs.
OUT! M Dar 36(27)
Munir Dar is doing the job for Hong Kong! The right-handed batsman slams two boundaries and a six as his side is back in the game here. Farhad Reza is plundered for as many as 15 runs. Hong Kong need 11 more runs to win from the last three overs.
Mahmadullah’s final over of his spell gets only three runs, but most importantly, he gets the key wicket of Nizakat Khan on the last ball. 26 runs needed off 24 balls to win.
OUT! N Khan 12(21)
Munir Dar has a nasty collision with Mushfiqur Rahim while trying to take a second run off Al Amin. Hong Kong need 29 runs to win from the last five overs. Seven runs scored off the 15th of the innings.
Bangladesh have qualified for the Super 10s. Mahmadullah’s third over of the innings gets five runs for Hong Kong, as they now need 36 runs to win from as many balls.
Munir Dar does will to hit a four behind the square leg region. Nizakat and Munir have steadied the Honk Kong innings. 41 runs needed from seven overs.
Mahmadullah continues as Hong Kong batsmen add only four runs off his over. Hong Kong need some momentum in the middle in order to win this match.
Hong Kong batsmen scramble for six runs off Al Amin’s over. They now need 53 runs to win from 54 balls.
Excellent over from Mahmadullah as he gives away only one run and takes a wicket. Hong Kong need 58 runs from last 10 overs.
OUT! M Chapman 5(7)
Hong Kong cross the 50-run mark in the ninth over of the innings. But Bangladesh are putting them under tremendous pressure as they have lost their fourth wicket. Mushfiqur Rahim takes a fine catch to get rid of Babar Hayat for one.
OUT! B Hayat 1(4)
Shakib strikes to get a crucial breakthrough as he gets rid of the dangerous Irfan Ahmed. The star all-rounder proves his mettle once again as he traps Atkinson in front of the wickets. Hong Kong need another 62 runs to win from 12 overs.
OUT! I Ahmed 34(28), J Atkinson 7(14)
Irfan Ahmed slams over the midwicket for a six as Hong Kong add another eight runs to their total. Not sure if they are eyeing the target in 13.1 overs, but they are definitely cautious enough to keep wickets in hand.
Shakib continues the good work from the other end as he gives away only one run from that over. Hong Kong need another 73 runs to win from 14 overs.
Poor from Razzak as he is punished by Irfan Ahmed for being wayward. Two boundaries and a six hit in the over as Hong Kong add crucial 15 runs in that over.
Bangladesh spinners are not allowing the Hong Kong batsmen to get away. Remember, Hong Kong need to chase the target in 13.1 overs to eliminate the hosts.
Irfan Ahmed hits a boundary through covers, and also gets a lifeline as a thick edge falls short of the fielder at short third man. Abdur Razzak is not pleased.
Shakib Al Hasan comes into the attack and gets Waqas Barkat stumped for a duck. Jamie Atkinson comes in at No 3.
OUT! W Barkat 0(2)
Irfan Ahmed gets hold of the final ball, which goes past the boundary ropes on the leg side. Poor start from Al Amin Hossain in the first over.

It’s all over! Bangladesh have been bowled out for a modest total of 108 as Hong Kong will be fancying a win here. Nadeem takes his fourth wicket as Al Amin is caught for one.
OUT! Al Amin 1(5)
Nizakat continues as Bangladesh batsmen scramble for five more runs. Nasir Hossain has the responsibility of adding some crucial runs here.
And there goes another!!! Bangladesh are in shambles as Rubel Hossain is cleaned up by Nadeem Ahmed.
OUT! R Hossain 0(3)
Two wickets as Nizakat puts Bangladesh under tremendous pressure. The hosts go past the 100-run mark in the 14th over. The run-rate is above seven, but they have lost way too many wickets. Farhad Reza is out for a duck, and Abdur Razzak falls for a first-ball duck.
OUT! F Reza 0(2), A Razzak 0(1)
There goes another! Mahmadullah is bowled by Nadeem Ahmed as Bangladesh slip further. Hong Kong have pulled back things in control. Bangladesh are under pressure after losing those quick wickets. Nadeem picks up his second wicket in the match.
OUT! Mahmadullah 2(3)
Big wicket!!! Mushfiqur Rahim tries to hit over the fielders inside the ring, but ends up hitting high in the air. Munir Khan takes a simple catch off Nizakat. Bangladesh in bit of bother here.
OUT! M Rahim 23(18)
Shakib moves across the stumps and takes benefit of the fine-leg fielder standing close, to hit a boundary. But his stay at the crease as Irfan Ahmed gets him caught by Nizakat. Close shave for Mushfiqur as Hong Kong captain Jamie Atkinson drops a catch on the last ball.
OUT! Shakib Al Hasan 34(27)
Nizakat Khan comes into the attack and sends down a good over. Only five runs off the over.
Mushfiqur Rahim hits two boundaries off Hussain Nawaz as Bangladesh seem to be picking up after the dismissal of Anamul Haque. Bangladesh batsmen add 10 more runs to their total.
Shakib Al Hasan looks in splendid touch here. The left-handed batsman dances down the track to hit a boundary through the cover area. Mushfiqur signs off with a four on the last ball.
Tanwir Afzal finishes his quota of four overs. He took two wickets and gave away 23 runs. Five runs are scored off his final over.
Anamul Haque hits over the fielders at cover region for a boundary, and follows it up with another through the wide mid-on region off spinner Nadeem Ahmed. A misfield results in another four for Anamul. But the bowler has the last laugh as Anamul chops the final ball of the over into the wickets.
OUT! A Haque 26(17)
Shakib continues the good work for Bangladesh as he gets another boundary through the backward point region. Bangladesh batsmen add eight runs from the third over of Tanwir Afzal.
Shakib gets into the groove as he slams two boundaries off the first two balls. The first one is hit over the covers while the second one goes past the fielder at square leg. Nine runs added in that over.
Afzal continues as Anamul Haque starts the over with a six over the fine-leg boundary. 10 runs scored off that over.
Haseeb Amjad comes from the other end as Bangladesh batsmen scramble for seven runs. Shakib Al Hasan gets a boundary straight down the ground. He and Anamul Haque have the responsibility of reviving the hosts now.
What a start for Hong Kong! Two wickets in the first over. Tanwir Afzal gets one to nip back into Tamim Iqbal, who has lost his off-stump, and on the last ball he traps Sabbir Rahman in front of the wickets. The Hong Kong side is delighted with the start.
OUT! T Iqbal 0(2), S Rahman 2(4)
