Jhulan Goswami and Ekta Bisht have taken two wickets each. England have taken a lead of 88 runs. Still two more days left for the one-off test, It is likely to rain for the rest of the day and it might rain tomorrow also. However, India just need four more wickets and then they chase. They will surely be looking for a win, as they return to Test cricket after eight years. This is Sudatta Mukherjee signing off for tonight. Thank you.

Match has been called off for the day due to bad light. England lead by 88 runs. Good show by Sarah Taylor .  They still have four wickets in hand. Day Three will be crucial for both the team.

England women 105/6 | Overs 51 | Sarah Taylor 26(73) | Jenny Gunn 1(36)

Sarah Taylor is attack mode. She has scored 16 runs in the last four overs. England lead by 83 runs and they still have four wickets in hand. Earlier, before the start of the over, umpires gave India warning about excessive appealing and screaming. Jhulan Goswami is back into the attack. Just one run off the over. Sarah returns strike.

England have scored only 15 runs since the restart, which means, they have scored 15 runs from 17 overs. Still 16 overs left for the day.  And this.

OUT! Natalie Sciver b Shubhlakshmi Sharmi 3(23)

England are down another wicket. This time is it Shubhlakshmi Sharma. What a brave move by Mithali Raj.

Apparently, Jhulan Goswami has been called off due to some problem with the run-up. Shikha Pandey returns to bowl and she asks for sawdust.

England women 41/2 | Overs 16 | Lauren Winfield 21(54) | Charlotte Edwards 2(16)

Winfield and Edwards stitching together a bit of a partnership now. Much like Goswami and Niranjana last evening, they are weathering the storm and absorbing deliveries in a bid to wear down the Indian bowlers.

England women 36/2 | Overs 11 | Lauren Winfield 21(37) | Charlotte Edwards 1(3)

England start steadily after Lunch. Beaumont hits Bisht for four. Pandey bowls a near-maiden over, marred by a wide ball. Bisht continues, and she strikes with the wicket of Tammy Beaumont!

OUT! Tammy Beaumont 12(24) LBW b Ekta Bisht

England women 30/1 | Overs 8 | Tammy Beaumont 8(16) | Lauren Winfield 17(24)

England women 26/1 | Overs 7 | Tammy Beaumont 8(16) | Lauren Winfield 17(24)

The English women have taken the lead. Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Winfield are on an attacking mood. Lauren smashed two back-to-back fours off Jhulan Goswami, who took the wicket of Heather Knight with the second ball of the second innings. But that has hardly mattered much for the England Women.

England women 0/1 | Overs 1 | Tammy Beaumont 0(3) | Lauren Winfield 0(0)

Jhulan Goswami strikes! England Women vice-captain Heather Knight departs. Karu Jain takes the catch. England’s scorecard is now 0/1.

India women 114 | Overs 64.2

Kate Cross has removed the last wicket of Shubhlakshmi Sharma and India are all out for 114. They lead by 22 runs and England women will be looking to take the lead quickly and put on a large score. We have got more than two days of game left. So the match is still evenly poised for now. Jenny Gunn has taken five wickets, which is the second best figures for England Women against India Women. India women 108/8 | Overs 59 | Shikha Pandey 2(20) | Shubhlakshmi Sharma 1 (4)

OUT! Nagarajan Niranjana lbw Kate Cross 27(83)

A good bowling change by Charlotte Edwards. She brings in Kate Cross and the bowler removes settled batswoman Nagarajan Niranjana. India women lead by 16 runs.

India women 107/7 | Overs 58 | Nagarajan Niranjana 27(81) | Shikha Pandey 2(20)

India women 95/6 | Overs 53 | Jhulan Goswami 17(83) | Nagarajan Niranjana 17(72)

India women have taken the lead by runs. Nagarajan Niranjana is not out on 17 and this is her highest score in Tests. Jhulan Goswami, who is not out on 17, her highest score in Tests is 69. Anya Shrubsole and Jenny Gunn have kept situation under control for England on Day Two morning till now.

India women 91/6 | Overs 48 | Jhulan Goswami 17(74) | Nagarajan Niranjana 13(51)

Jenny Gunn starts the proceedings for England on Day Two. Jhulan Goswami is facing the medium-pacer, who has already taken four wickets. Goswami hits a four off the fourth ball of the over.
