Aaron gets a top edge off the second ball by Pollard and it goes for a four over the wicketkeeper’s head. Pollard bowls many past Aaron’s stumps and he keeps missing them. And Mumbai have won by 19 runs. A good victory here for Mumbai. They bounced back after a good start by Royal Challengers Bangalore. That is the end of the game. Rossouw takes strike to Malinga and the first ball is in the slot and he smashes it over mid-wicket for a six. And Rossouw is gone off the next ball. He was charging down the ground and lofts it to Rohit at cover. Dinda is the new man. He gets a single off the second ball.

Jasprit Bumrah is back into the attack. Rossouw takes strike. he hits one to mid-wicket and gets a single. Harshal Patel tries for the second, but it isn’t there. Patel takes strike and the first ball he faces, he moves away and lofts it high over extra cover for a six. And he is gone next ball! Bumrah bowls a slower ball and Patel walks across to the off-side and misses. He was caught in a very awkward position and was bowled behind the legs. Aaron comes on and takes a single to give Rossouw strike. He can only get a single off the penultimate delivery. Aaron misses the last ball outside the off stump.

Malinga is back into the attack and Rossouw hits it down the ground for a single. Starc then comes on strike and he smashes it over point for a four. Malinga hits back with a yorker outside the off-stump and Starc can’t do anything about it. Starc is out then as he lofts to the off-side. And guess who has caught him? Yes, it is Pollard! Rossouw then moves across his stumps and lofts it over mid-wicket for a four. He didn’t hit it too well, but it went for a four. Rossouw finishes the over with a single

Suyal is back into the attack and Yuvraj drives through the off-side for a single. And Suyal has taken Virat Kohli! He tries to hit it in the air through long-off and Corey Anderson takes a good catch running to his left at long-off. Yuvraj Singh is kept on strike by Suyal as he bowls in the right areas. Only one run off that over and a wicket. What a comeback by Suyal!

Jasprit Bumrah is back in the attack. And he gets de Villiers. He tries to walk away from the stumps and scoop him over fine-leg, but Bumrah hits his leg-stump. A huge wicket here as the Wankhede comes alive! Yuvraj is in the middle now. He gets off the mark off his second ball by flicking one through the leg-side.

Malinga is back into the attack and he almost has a wicket first ball. It is on Kohli’s pads and he flicks it to short fine-leg. Bumrah gets his hands to it, but then spills it. Kohli then guides one to short fine-leg and Bumrah saves it well. The batsmen do get a single. The over finishes with a brilliant shot through the off-side. It was wide and full and de Villiers carted it inches away from the fielder in the deep for a four.
Pollard is back and he is hit down the ground for a four. And then Pollard bowls on his legs and he is guided fine for another four. Then, Kohli places through the leg-side and they run two. The over finishes with a single.
Gayle tries to sweep but gets some body onto it and it goes fine for four leg-byes. Gayle then places Harbhajan through mid-wicket for a single. Kohli then charges down the ground and smashes it for a six straight onto the sightscreen. What a shot that one! Kohli then gets a single down the ground. Gayle is gone now! It was a bit slow and Harbhajan tries to sweep across the line and he is bowled. AB de Villiers is the new man in the centre. He reverse sweeps the first ball and that has gone fine for a four.

Pollard is into the attack and Kohli charges down the ground and smashes it over long-off for a six. It just made it through. The wicketkeeper then comes up to the stumps. Kohli then ets a single off the third ball. Gayle then works one through mid-wicket for a single. Kohli then pulls one through mid-wicket for a single. Gayle finishes the over with a single through mid-wicket.
Harbhajan continues from around the wicket and Kohli hits one to fine-leg for a single off the first ball. Gayle then gets a leg-bye off the third ball. Kohli charges down the ground to the fourth and doesn’t connect. It is a dot ball. Kohli then pushes through the leg-side and gets two. The last ball is pushed for a single down the ground.
Bumrah is into the attack and concedes only two runs off the first four deliveries. An uneventful over with only three runs coming off it.
Harbhajan is back and ge gets a wicket. The ball has a bit of air and he tries to pull it and misses. The stumps have been shattered. Harbhajan gives him the “good-bye.” Kohli is the new man in the centre. He gets off the mark off his second delivery by placing it behind square on the leg-side. Gayle then charges and it is a bit wide outside the off-stump. Gayle reaches for it and pulls it for four over wide long-on. And the last ball has gone out of the ground. It is a six over mid-wicket.

Lasith Malinga is into the attack and there are chants of “Malinga, Malinga.” He starts off with two slower deliveries and the second ball is worked through the leg-side for a single. That is the fifty for Mumbai. Parthiv then works a full delivery to third-man for a single. Malinga then bowls it short to Gayle and he pulls it to mid-wicket and they get a brace. It is a good over as Malinga gives away only four.
Harbhajan Singh is into the attack now. Parthiv then walks across the stumps and sweeps Harbhajan over fine-leg for four. The men were in the ring and there was every chance of playing that shot. Parthiv then hits one past mid-on and they get two.
Suyal continues. He starts off with two wides. One is down the leg-side and the other is wide outside the off-stump. Parthiv then flicks one in the air down the ground and Rayudu dives to his right but it takes his hand and goes to the boundary. Gayle is into action now! The ball was in the slot from Suyal and he lofts it high over long off for a six. There is another wide as Suyal bowls it short and it climbs over Gayle. The next ball is on a length and Gayle hits it through mid-wicket for a four. There is another six! Woaah! Where has that come from. Again, it is hit down the ground as the ball is full and it is a six. The last ball is a full-toss and Gayle smashes it through mid-wicket for a four. That over has cost Mumbai 28!!
Jasprit Bumrah is into the attack and the second ball is smashed by Parthiv through the off-side for a four. It was hit in front of square and timed very well. The next ball is short again and Parthiv cuts it well between the gap and it goes for a four. Parthiv then edges one through the vacant second slip region and it is a single.
Pawan Suyal to start proceedings. He is the man who has replaced Zaheer Khan in this side. The first ball is a full toss, which Gayle plays towards the off-side and the batsmen take a single. Parthiv defends the first one he faces. The fourth ball is driven by parthiv through the covers for four. It was very well played as he merely timed it. The next ball is guided through the off-side and a single is taken.
Starc is back for the last over and he is up against Pollard! Pollard hits the first ball through mid-wicket for a brace. He then gets a single as he doesn’t time a low full toss. Starc then bowls a slower delivery outside the off-stump and it is given a wide. Rohit then pulls one to the deep and it is a single only as de Villiers fields it well. Pollard then walks across the stumps and tries to scoop. He misses and Rohit then runs to the striker’s end. Pollard isn’t running and Parthiv relays it to Starc who breaks the stumps at the non-striker’s end. Pollard walked out of his crease to ensure Rohit stays. Rohit hits one down the ground and Tare pushes him for two and they get it. Rohit then finishes it with a silken four through the covers. He lofted it nonchalantly.

Aaron is back in the attack. Rohit tries to flay across the line and gets a top-edge. It sails over the third-man boundary, very fine, for a six. The next ball is smashed down the ground for a four by Rohit. it was in the slot and he hit it as straight as an arrow. Aaron fires the third one a bit wide outside the off-stump and Rohit lofts it square on the off-side for a six over cover-point. It was merely guided by Rohit. What a shot! He then gets a brace by guiding one through third-man. Aaron’s pace!! What to do! Rohit tries to pull one off a length and it takes the top-edge and it goes high over Parthiv’s head and crosses the boundary. It is a six. That is Rohit’s fifty. Rohit tries to smash the last ball, but misses.
Dinda is back in the attack and Rohit drives him through the off-side for a single. Pollard then clubs one down the ground for a single. Dinda then bowls a slower one and Rohit goes through with the shot and lifts it over mid-wicket for a six. He then hits one down the ground for a single. Dinda then bowls a good short ball to Pollard and he lets it go through. Pollard hits the last ball over square-leg for a four to end the over. The 150 is up.
Mitchell Starc is back and he bowls a few good deliveries to the batsmen. There is one that climbs on Pollard and he misses as he tries to pull. And that is ugly! Something very serious has happend. Pollard walks down the ground as Starc ran in and he then pulled away. Starc continued and fired it towards Pollard as he pulled it away. Pollard was angry and he threw the bat down the ground. Pollard then places it down to long-on and runs two. The last ball was fired into Pollard’s pads and he flicks it for four.
Harshal is back into the attack and Rohit works it to third man for a single. The third ball is short and wide outside the off-stump and Pollard carted it over cover for a four. It was hit quite powerfully. Harshal then varies his pace and Pollard misses as he tries to guide it to third-man. Then Pollard gets an edge and it almost carries to Yuvraj at point. He dives forward, but it bounces before him. The last ball si driven handsomely by Rohit through wide long-off. He finds the gap perfectly and it is a four.
Yuvraj Singh is into the attack. He first bowls a wide down the leg side. Pollard then places the one down the ground for a single. After a couple of dots, Rohit plays one to long-off for a single. Rohit then smashes one through long-on and it is a four. it was hit hard and quite straight. It went all along the carpet for a four.
Chahal is back and Pollard opens the face of the bat to guide it through third-man for a four. Ashok Dinda ran behind it and tried to stop it, but it crossed the boundary. Dinda seemed to have hurt himself while doing that slide. Pollard then plays one through the off-side for a single. The batsmen continue to take a few singles to keep the scorecoard ticking.
Harshal Patel is back into the atack. Rohit guides the first one through third-man for a single. Pollard plays the second one solidly and there is no run. Pollard then pulls through square-leg for a single. Rohit also pulls the next for a single. The over comes to an end with a brace. The Mumbai Indians have completed their 100.
Chahal continues and Rohit defends the first one. He then pushes one down the ground for a single. Pollard then scoops one over the wicketkeeper and it goes for a four. Ashok Dinda ran across from short third-man but misfields it. Pollard then places one down the ground for a single. Rohit also works the strike around with a single.
Aaron continues. Rohit cuts the second ball through point for a single. Pollard defends the next ball. He then works one through fine-leg for a single. Aaron is bowling well and is working good pace. When he bowls it short, it climbs and the batsmen can only defend it.
Chahal is back into the attack and Rohit plays him to the on-side for a single. And Anderson smashes one through long-on and it goes for six. That was very well played as it was full and he got to the pitch of the ball. And Anderson is gone! He goes for another big shot and hits it in the air. It goes high and Anderson comes underneath it and takes it cleanly. Chahal had given more air to that and foxed Anderson into playing that shot.

Aaron comes into the attack and he is played defensively by Gautam first up. Aaron then bowls one wide outside the off-stump and the batsmen get an extra run with the wide. And there is some confusion off the next as an overthrow results in a single. Rohit gets off the mark. There is another wide as Aaron bowls a short one down the leg-side. And finally Gautam is gone. He tries to cut one and gets an edge. It goes through to Parthiv, who takes a good catch. Corey Anderson is the new man in the centre.

Ashok Dinda bowls a short ball and it climbs over Gautam for a wide and it evades Parthiv Patel and goes for four. That is five wides. parthiv tried to collect it, but he was nowhere near it. The next delivery is a wide one down the leg-side. And, when he bowls a legitimate delivery, it is on a length and is carted over cow corner for a six by Gautam. There is finally a dot ball after that as it is full and just outside the off-stump. Dinda then comes back as he goes through Rayudu and hits his stumps. That is some respite!

Yuzvendra Chahal is into the attack as soon as the powerplay is out of the way. Gautam charges to the second ball and plays it inside out over cover for a single. Rayudu then charges down the ground and hits it for four over the bowler’s head for a four. He then pushes it to long-on for a single.
Harshal continues and Rayudu tries to play the first two deliveries through the off-side, but they go straight to the fielders. Rayudu then charges to the third one and doesn’t manage to connect. However, they do get a single. Harshal then bowls full to Gautam and he tries to walk across the stumps and scoop it. he doesn’t connect and it goes straight in front. The next ball climbs on Gautam and he cannot get a bat to it. It shapes down the leg-side and a diving Parthiv Patel cannot collect. That has gone for four byes. Gautam then hits the last ball of the powerplay down the ground for a four.
Varun Aaron is into the attack and bowls a wide down the leg-side. He then strays one down the leg-side and Rayudu works it to fine-leg for a single. Aaron is working some pace and Gautam tries to hit one through the line, but misses. There is also some movement in the air for Aaron. He then bowls a good short ball, which Gautam can only let go. Aaron then bowls another short ball and Gautam is charging down the ground. It passes his head and the umpire gives it a no-ball citing a second no-ball. Aaron then responds by getting one to move away from Gautam on a length. And Aaron’s over gets spoilt as Gautam smashes the last ball over fine-leg for a huge six.
Harshal Patel comes on and he gets a wicket off his first ball. Dunk tries to loft him over the top and is caught by Yuvraj at mid-off. Ambati Rayudu is the new man and he gets off the mark first ball by defending it. Gautam calls him through for a quick single. Gautam then charges to Harshal and lofts him over square-leg for a six. It was very well hit as the fielder in the deep could only watch it sail over his head. Harshal responds by bowling a short one and Gautam misses as he tries to ramp it over the top. Gautam charges again and misses it. No damage done.

Gautam works one to fine-leg and hands the strike to Dunk. The second ball from Starc is on the pads and Dunk flicks it through the leg-side and Yuzvendra Chahal stops it just before the boundary as the batsmen get two. The fourth ball hits Dunk’s pads and the batsmen steal a quick single and as Dinda throws at the stumps, there are overthrows and the batsmen get two.
Ashok Dinda comes on in the second over and Dunk guides one behind point and the batsmen get two. Varun Aaron runs across from third-man and throws it to the bowler’s end. The second ball is played to mid-wicket by Dunk. And then Dinda gives Dunk a bit of width and he is cut behind point with authority and it goes through for a four. Dunk then gets off the mark by glancing one to fine-leg. Gautam then works one to third-man for a single. The last ball hit hard by Dunk into the ground through the covers and it bounces over the infield and goes through for four. AB de Villiers puts in a desperate dive, but cannot get there.
There is a change in the opening combination for Mumbai as CM Gautam walks out with Ben Dunk. Mitchell Starc starts things off for Bangalore and strays on Dunk’s pads as they get a leg-bye. The second ball bounces past Gautam on the off-stump. That has the typical tennis ball bounce And then the next one hits Gautam’s pads and they get another leg-bye. There was a leg-before appeal but it was turned down. Dunk then gets a short one outside the off-stump and he defends it. Dunk then gets off the mark by guiding one through third-man. Gautam then gets off the mark as he smashes one down the ground for four.
Here are the two teams for the day. Only one change for Mumbai with Pawan Suyal replacing Zaheer Khan. Royal Challengers Bangalore are unchanged.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on each other at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Both sides are coming off encouraging wins in their previous games that promise to help them lift their campaigns. Mumbai recorded their first win when they faced Kings XI Punjab at the Wankhede Stadium and this homecoming would hold them in good stead. On the other hand, AB de Villiers fashioned an unlikely victory when they played Sunrisers Hyderabad.
