(Both Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore will clash in an important encounter in Indian Premier League 2014. Catch live scores and updates of the match here)

Shane Watson will now think again whenever he would want to hit a six. For the second consecutive time, he gets out after hitting a six as he attempts another big hit. Stuart Binny walks in. Rajasthan batsmen take three runs off the final ball to seal an easy six-wicket win for the Rajasthan Royals in Chahal’s third over of the match.
OUT! S Watson c de Villiers b Chahal 24(24)

Shane Watson provides some momentum as he slams the first six of the innings, off Chahal. 16 more runs needed to win.

Ashok Dinda comes on to bowl the 10th over of the match. Rajasthan batsmen scramble to add two more runs to their total. They seem to be in no hurry to finish this game. 23 more runs needed now.

Yuzvendra Chahal comes on to bowl and sends down a maiden over. Shane Watson tries hard but fails to get off the strike.

Ravi Rampaul’s impressive spell of 4-0-16-0 comes to an end and Royal Challengers Bangalore will now have to find someone who contains the RR batsmen for as long as possible. Rajasthan now need only 25 more runs to win.

Absolutely poor shot selection by Karun Nair. His stay at the crease is over as Nair chases one very wide of the off-stump, and gets an edge. Mitchell Starc strikes for the second time after being punished early on. Shane Watson comes in to bat, and is away with a fine stroke down the ground for a four.
OUT! K Nair c Patel b Starc 8(12)

In and out for Sanju Samson. The Rajasthan batsman is run out as Royal Challengers Bangalore make the second breakthrough. Rajasthan now need 35 runs to win from 14 overs with eight wickets in hand.
OUT! S Samson run out 2(6)

Mitchell Starc strikes as Ajinkya Rahane is dismissed after a little cameo. Rahane scored 23 runs, studded with four boundaries. Starc gets an outside edge off Rahane’s bat and Parthiv did the rest. Sanju Samson is the new man in, and he will be eager to get some crucial runs.
OUT! A Rahane c Parthiv b Starc 23(19)

Ravi Rampaul gets a leading edge off Rahane’s bat as the he was trying to play through midwicket. The ball flies over the fielder at covers. Four runs scored in that over.

Ajinkya Rahane has derailed Mitchell Starc here in this game. Rahane cracks one through the point area for a four, and then pulls one over the midwicket for another four. 11 runs scored in the third over of the game.

Impressive by Ravi Rampaul as he does not allow Karun Nair to score runs off him. Only two runs came in that over. Rajasthan now need only 58 runs to win from 18 overs at a required rate just above three.

Mitchell Starc starts the proceedings for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Ajinkya Rahane gets one four through the leg-side as Starc bowled the second ball way down the leg. Starc continues to struggle as the third ball is hit for a four down the ground. A positive start from the Rajasthan Royals.

What a stunning performance by the Rajasthan Royals to bundle out the Royal Challengers Bangalore for a paltry score of 70. RCB lost far took many wickets early on, and could never recover from the blows. Stay tuned for Rajasthan’s chase…

Rampaul tries to smash Tambe over mid-on and it just evades Steven Smith as the batsmen take two. And then, he smashes a six over mid-wicket. Attempting another six over mid-off, he gets caught. This has been the tale four Bangalore throughout. And then Tambe gets a googly to come in and Dinda is leg-before.
OUT! Rampaul 13(13) Tambe 0(3)

Rajat Bhatia is on and he bowls to Rampaul first up. Off the second ball, he smashes it to mid-wicket, but gets only a single. Mitchell Starc then takes strike and waits for the ball to come onto the bat and deftly guides it behind point for a four. There were two men diving, but it bisected the gap perfectly. And then Starc is gone! He smashes the last ball to the off-side and it goes straight to point
OUT! Starc 18(16)

Bangalore have now moved past 50 and there isn’t any point hanging around. Mitchell Starc seems to be playing an attacking hand. One must remember that both these batsmen can bat. Rampaul once scored an 80-odd against India in an ODI and Starc hit 99 in a Test match against the same opposition. But this is a different ball game, isn’t it?

HUGE WICKET!!! Virat Kohli tries to hit over the fielder at short midwicket, but mistimes and ends up losing his wicket. Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost their captain, caught by Tim Southee. All hopes for a fighting total dashed?
OUT! V Kohli c Southee b Tambe 21(25)

Some action from the Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen as they are now looking to score some quick runs. Kohli hits a four over the mid-on fielder, and Mitchell Starc too joins in with a four through mid-off. Good over from RCB’s perspective as 12 runs were scored off Tim Southee.

Royal Challengers Bangalore in tatters here! Spin is introduced in the match for the first time, with Pravin Tambe getting the big wicket of Albie Morkel. The left-handed batsman mistimes a stroke as Steven Smith takes a clean catch. Bangalore have lost their sixth wicket. Kohli continues his good work from the one end that he has occupied for so long, thrashing a boundary through the covers. Will they make 100 today?
OUT! A Morkel c Smith b Tambe 7(13)

Shane Watson continues as he sends down a tight over. Only one run was scored off him as Royal Challengers Bangalore seem to be picking up after the early wickets.

Kane Richardson sends down his third over of the match as Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen manage four runs off him. RCB have lost half of their side. Should Virat Kohli attack now or wait for another couple of overs to stabilise the innings. He has Albie Morkel at the other end, who can provide good support.

And another batsman bites the dust. This time it is Shane Watson who makes the breakthrough. Sachin Rana tries to play one outside the off-stump, but gets a thick inside edge, and the ball goes on to hit the stumps. Rajasthan Royals are all over the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the moment. Who would have thought of such a start! Albie Morkel is the new man in, and he starts off with a four straight down the ground.
OUT! S Rana b Watson 3(8)
Kane Richardson continues as Virat Kohli and Sachin Rana add another four runs to the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s total.

Tim Southee continues the good work from the other end as he does not give any room to the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batsmen. Only one run scored in that over. All pressure on Virat Kohli at the moment to revive RCB.

Royal Challengers Bangalore in shambles here! Kane Richardson gets Yuvraj Singh caught on the first ball, and on the second, gets an inside edge off AB de Villiers’s bat that crashes in to the wickets, to leave RCB in tatters at 5/4 after 2.2 overs. Sachin Rana is the new man in, and he manages to keep his wicket intact despite getting a thick edge. Kohli puts the fourth ball for a boundary to ease some pressure.
OUT! Yuvraj c Smith b Richardson 3(7), AB de Villiers b Richardson 0(1)

Tim Southee comes on to bowl the second over of the game, and Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen scramble to take four runs off him. Big task in the hands of Kohli and Yuvraj to revive their innings after the blows early on.

Stuart Binny strikes in the first over itself! Rajasthan Royals make a change this time around, as they open the bowling attack with Stuart Binny. It was an extremely successful over from Rajasthan’s perspective as Bangalore have lost both their openers. Yogesh Takawale was caught behind on the third ball, while some lethargic running by Parthiv Patel results in his dismissal.
OUT! Y Takawale c Samson b Binny 0(3), P Patel run out 1(1)

Here are the teams for today’s game. Interesting choice by Bangalore to keep Varun Aaron out. He has been in form this season. Perhaps this is because Ravi Rampaul came in.

Rajasthan have won the toss and elected to bowl. Kane Richardson has replaced James Faulkner in the Rajasthan team. Karun Nair also gets a game as he replaces Dhawal Kulkarni. Sachin Rana has replaced Varun Aaron and Ravi Rampaul has come in for Muttiah Muralitharan for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Hello and a warm welcome to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 Match 13 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers (RCB). I am Devarchit Varma. I will be bringing the live updates of entire the game. Actually, RR have struggled to make their mark in IPL 2014. They have lost all their matches till now. So it has to be said that they have lots of issues to sort out before the all important clash against RCB. On the other end of the spectrum, RCB lost a nail biting match against Kolkata Knight Riders in their last game. A match that perhaps they should have won, but Chris Lynn’s excellent catch on the boundary line turned it around in KKR’s favour. RCB have a strong unit on paper, but they will have to think twice before picking Muttiah Muralitharan. The legendary spinner looked out of sorts in their last game against KKR. The good thing for them is that wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel has surprisingly done well for RCB this season.

For RR, other than Watson’s one innings, they have struggle d abit in terms of batting . Domestic players like Rahane have come up with one good innings but they have lacked consistency. Their bowlers too have perform better for them to make a mark in the upcoming crucial encounter.
