STUMPS! Session South Africa! A mixed day for Bangladesh! They elected to bat first and have put up a decent total on board. They though will want to build on this and get around 300 with Nasir Hossain still around. The total will be good on this slower deck. They got starts but did not quite convert them. South Africa will wish to bat better and keep the pressure on the hosts. Do join us tomorrow for all the action, take care!

Live cricket score Bangladesh 239/6 | Overs 84 | Batting: Shakib Al Hasan 33(62), Nasir Hossain 9(28) The second new ball is available but the Proteas are not going for it. They are content to bowl with the old ball. There have been instances of both Bangladesh batsmen threatening to throw it away. Steyn has just returned for a spell.

Live cricket score Bangladesh 220/6 | Overs 78 | Batting: Shakib Al Hasan 23(45), Nasir Hossain 0(3) A waste of a wicket as Litton Das looks to sweep one through the on side but ends up offering a simple catch to Elgar at mid-wicket off the bowling of Duminy. Live cricket score Bangladesh 180/4 | Overs 63 | Batting: Shakib Al Hasan 0(2), Mushfiqur Rahim 58(92) | Mahmudullah is starting to get going as Bangladesh look to up the ante against South Africa. Live cricket score Bangladesh 164/3 | Overs 57 | Batting: Mahmudullah 27(70), Mushfiqur Rahim 50(79) | A crucial session for both teams. He brings up his fifty as well, 15th Test fifty for him!

TEA! Session Bangladesh – Bangladesh have made steady progress. They though have been guilty of not converting thier starts. Kayes, Mominul both did the same mistake but the pair of Rahim and Mahmdullah have done well so far and will be looking to continue their good work in the final session of play.

Live cricket score Bangladesh 154/3 | Overs 55 | Batting: Mahmudullah 25(65), Mushfiqur Rahim 42(72) | After a nervy start to the post lunch session, Bangladesh have seen through to Tea without losing many wickets. Rahim was sruck on the pads as he tried to clip Morne Morkel through the leg side. South Africa went for the review. There was sound of bat hitting the pad and the ball was doing down leg as well which meant Rahim was not out and safe.

Live cricket score Bangladesh 138/3 | Overs 48 | Batting: Mahmudullah 21(42), Mushfiqur Rahim 30(53) | The 50-run stand is u between Mushifqur Rahim and Mahmudullah. Live cricket score Bangladesh 118/3 | Overs 43 | Batting: Mahmudullah 18(31), Mushfiqur Rahim 13(32) | Both Rahim and Mahmudullah are playing well so far. They are ensuring they see off a reverse swinging spell from Steyn. They have picked the right balls to play so far. But just as we say that, Steyn traps Mahmdullah in front who reviews it rightaway. And the decision is over turned and rightly so.

Live cricket score Bangladesh 99/3 | Overs 38 | Batting: Mahmudullah 9(21), Mushfiqur Rahim 4(14) | Both Rahim and Mahmudullah are content on playing through to not let the South Africans get on top of them. There is a lid on the scoring right now.

LUNCH! Session Bangladesh – South Africa are on the defensive with the field spread. The pair of Kayes and Mominul has seen Bangladesh through to Lunch on Day One of the second Test. There is rain forecast but let’s hope it stays away and we get more play in.

Live cricket score Bangladesh 75/1 | Overs 29 | Batting: Mominul Haque 35(76), Imrul Kayes 28(85) | Dale Steyn returns for a spell but has not found any success. The deck seems to be again on the drier and slower side and the visitors will need to find more ways to get batsmen out. Dean Elgar comes on to bowl the final over before lunch and Mominul helps himself to a boundary to cover fence.

Live cricket score Bangladesh 62/1 | Overs 21 | Batting: Mominul Haque 26(62), Imrul Kayes 24(51) | The 50-run stand is up between Kayes and Mominul. Live cricket score Bangladesh 30/1 | Overs 11 | Batting: Mominul Haque 6(28), Imrul Kayes 12(25) | The bowling from South Africa is top notch! Both Mominul and Imrul are playing steadily. Mominul replies in fine fashion, pulling one over backward square for a boundary.

Live cricket score Bangladesh 12/1 | Overs 5 | Batting: Mominul Haque 0(3), Imrul Kayes 6(12) | Vernon Philander comes on from the other end. Kayes gets off the mark with a fine drive through the mid on region for a boundary. Tamim then plays a lovely pull shot through square leg for a boundary. DROPPED! Steyn gets an edge from Tamim but the fielder at second slip, Dean Elgar drops a regulation catch. That would have been Steyn’s 400th Test wicket, surely he will be hurting from this but he strikes in the very next over. Tempts Tamim with one more outside off, Tamim flashes and gets an outside edge straight to Hashim Amla at first slip. 400 Test wickets for him, second bowler from South Africa, fastest in terms of balls bowled.

OUT! Tamim Iqbal c Amla b Steyn 6(15)

Live cricket score Bangladesh 1/0 | Overs 1 | Batting: Tamim Iqbal 1(3), Imrul Kayes 0(3) | Here we go then, Dale Steyn, one shy of his 400th Test wicket runs in to Tamim Iqbal who is on strike, as Imrul Kayes wait at the other end.
