That was a wonderful 45th over by Arafat Sunny. Three wickets from it, and Zimbabwe have been bowled out for 183. A 68-run victory there for Bangladesh. The visitors showed some fight, but they need to do a lot better if they are to succeed at this level.
OUT! Panyangara b A Sunny 8(31)/OUT! John Nyumbu b A Sunny 0(8)/OUT! Kamungozi b A Sunny 0(1)

It’s going downhill for Zimbabwe. A brilliant piece of fielding sees the dismissal of Elton Chigumbura. He is run out. After his dismissal, the visitors are not even trying to score quickly. This game looks done and dusted already, and the remaining overs seem a mere formality.
OUT! Elton Chigumbura run out (S Rahman) 38(31)

Mire falls! Shakib does the trick for the hosts! Otherwise, Chigumbura seems to have discovered a magical touch and hits Mortaza for three consecutive boundaries.
OUT! Solomon Mire c A Sunny b Shakib 50 (79)

Solomon Mire gets to his 50 in adverse conditions. Fighting knock from him. However, it doesn’t look likely that he and Chigumbura can combine to lead Zimbabwe to victory. After this wicket, the tail will be exposed. And the required run rate is creeping steeply.

The partnership finally ends! Chakabva finds himself dismissed by Al-Amin Hossain. Just when this partnership was looking to trouble the hosts, it has been broken.
OUT! Chakabva c Mortaza b A Hossain 32(53)

This partnership is turning out to be a good one for Zimbabwe. They are keeping the required run rate under check and not losing wickets. If this continues for another 15-20 overs, it can get worrying for Bangladesh.

Chakabva and Mire are stringing together a partnership after the early wickets. Bangladeshi spinners are not giving anything away, and keeping the scoring rate under control. Required run rate has already crept up to around 6 per over.

Another one bites the dust! Brendan Taylor departs after trying a reverse sweep off Arafat Sunny. Zimbabwe are falling like a pack of cards. Bangladesh look set for a huge victory.
OUT! Brendan Taylor c Mahmudullah b A Sunny 8(19)

Wickets falling in quick succession for Zimbabwe. Both Raza and SIbanda have to depart. Mortaza takes both the wickets. Bangladesh have taken early advantage in this innings.
OUT! S Raza c Mahmudullah b Mortaza 16(24)/ OUT! Sibanda b Mortaza 21(15)

Gone! Zimbabwe lose their first wicket quickly. Masakadza is gone for a duck. Sibanda and raza hit some big shots to regain momentum, and from the looks of it, this should be an interesting chase.
OUT! Masakadza b Mortaza 0 (6)

Another one bites the dust! Mashrafe Mortaza is dismissed by Tendai Chatara. Mominul Haque hits two boundaries in the penultimate over to bring the total close to 250. Hossain and Haque score six in the final over to get their total up to 251.
OUT! Mashrafe Mortaza b Chatara 6 (9)

Great bowling by Zimbabwe. Kamungozi takes two wickets in the 44th over. That brings down the scoring rate for the Bangladeshis who’d do well to cross 250 from hereon.
OUT! Mahmudullah c Panyangara b Kamungozi 12(21)/ OUT! Rahim lbw b Kamungozi 27(29)

The boundaries are starting to return for Bangladesh. 10 an over from now on will take them to 270 which they should be able to defend. Zimbabwean bowlers will need to pull up their socks in these death overs to have a chance of restricting Bangladesh to a score that they can chase.

Once again, two wickets fall in quick succession for Bangladesh. Anamul Haque and Sabbir Rahman depart in the 37th over. This is turning out to be a strange match. Zimbabwe have made a strong comeback.
OUT! Anamul c Sibanda b Panyangara 80(110) / OUT! Rahman c Kamungozi b Panyangara 0 (2)

Oh dear! Anamul Haque and Tamim Iqbal have been dismissed in quick succession. Zimbabwe needed those breakthroughs to put a lid on the scoring rate.
OUT! Tamim Iqbal run out (Chigumbura) 76 (98)/ OUT! Shakib al Hasan b Sibanda 0 (1)

Anamul Haque has scored his half-century too! 30 overs and ZImbabwe haven’t been able to pick a single wicket! Iqbal and Haque are accelerating now, and hitting sixes and boundaries often.

Fifty up for Tamim Iqbal! He brings it up with a big SIX off John Nyumbu. Haque approaching his half-century too. Both batsman are batting sensibly, and accumulating the runs. Zimbabwe needs to find some answers to break this partnership quickly.

Both Bangladeshi openers continue to pile up the runs, as Zimbabwean bowlers struggle to find answers. However, not many runs are being conceded which is a good sign for the visitors.

Kamungozi and Nyumbu have bowled well in tandem to keep the Bangladeshi scoring rate under control. No boundary in the last 5 overs, and if both bowlers exert similar pressure then a wicket is just around the corner.

Boundaries are coming at a steady rate for Bangladesh. Chigumbura introduces some spin in the form of Tafadzwa Kamungozi, but it doesn’t yield much result for the visitors. The first 10 overs have been good for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh have started slowly after winning the toss. Haque has struck two boundaries while Tamim pierced the field once. Panyangara bowled a good maiden in the third over.

TOSS: Bangladesh  captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat.
