Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 186/4 | Overs 45.4 | Target 183

India Women put up the highest total of the series, but whatever chance they had of fighting back was thwarted by Suzie Bates and Rachel Priest. Though they fell in quick succession, Amy Sattherthwaite made sure New Zealand Women reached the target without major hiccups. India Women were way below par when it came to fielding, which probably cost them the match. Mithali Raj will have her task cut out.

Suzie Bates 59 (87) Rachel Priest 64 (101) Amy Satterthwaite 22* (41) Maddie Green 14 (22) Sophie Devine 17 (24) Katie Perkins 4* (1) Jhulan Goswami 10-2-28-1 Ekta Bisht 8-0-36-1 Niranjana Nagarajan 7-0-29-0 Deepti Sharma 7.4-0-38-1 Rajeshwari Gaekwad 8-1-30-0 Harmanpreet Kaur 4-1-14-1 Veda Krishnamurthy 1-0-10-0

Deepti replaces Niranjana, and concedes two off her first over. Sophie has had enough: she gets down on one knee and slams Ekta over wide long-on. Sophie punches Deepti past extra-cover for four, scores are levelled. She tries to shuffle and flick, but Deepti bowls straight and slow, and Sophie is trapped leg-before. Katie walks out and finishes things off with a slog-swept four.

OUT! Sophie Devine lbw b Deepti Sharma 17 (24)!

Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 167/3 | Overs 43 | Target 183

Amy Satterthwaite 20 (39), Sophie Devine 4 (11)

Amy goes after Ekta, the ball disappears through the mid-wicket fence. She seems to be in a hurry to finish things off. Meanwhile, Niranjana replaces Jhulan, who has bowled out, and starts with an ugly-looking wide down leg. Kalpana misses it, and Jhulan misfields next ball, Indians have been terrible on the field today. Amy hits one straight past Niranjana, past the diving mid-on, they’re closing in.

Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 153/3 | Overs 40 | Target 183

Amy Satterthwaite 10 (27), Sophie Devine 2 (5)

Amy and Maddie were in the process of consolidation when Ekta struck. Maddie stepped out, and Ekta slipped one through the gate, and Kalpana does no mistake. Jhulan seems to have injured her bowling hand, but it is probably not serious. Amy holds the key here as the Powerplay is over.

OUT! Maddie Green st Ravi Kalpana b Ekta Bisht 14(22)

Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 125/2 | Overs 32

Amy Satterthwaite 0 (2), Maddie Green 0 (3)

Just when it seemed like the Indian women were losing all hope, they have made a double breakthrough to give themselves a shimmer of hope. New Zealand should still win this comfortably but there will definitely be some pressure on them now.

OUT! Suzie Bates b Jhulan Goswami 59(87)

OUT! Rachel Priest lbw b Harmanpreet Kaur 64(101)

Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 106/0 | Overs 27

Suzie Bates 46(76), Rachel Priest 59(87)

Looks like New Zealand will win this match without much trouble here. The Indian body language seems to suggest that they have given up the challenge already. Rachel Priest has batted wonderfully to get to her fifty, while Suzie Bates is inching towards one. Can a couple of wickets turn things on its head here?

Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 78/0 | Overs 21

Suzie Bates 36(66), Rachel Priest 41(61)

Suzie Bates and Rachel Priest are putting on a terrific display of batting against some testing bowling. The bowling has been just as good  as has been throughout the series. But the Kiwi batters are negotiating through the tricky off cutters, square turners and low-keeping balls in amazing fashion and are also scoring the runs.

Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 50/0 | Overs 15

Suzie Bates 25(47), Rachel Priest 24(44)

The New Zealand openers have nicely laid the foundation to track down the target of 183 by posting a fifty run opening partnership. Suzie Bates was edgy at the crease early on but has stabilised her innings ever since. Rachel Priest has been tied down in the last few overs after enjoying a good start. India need a wicket.

Live cricket score New Zealand Women: 28/0 | Overs 6

Suzie Bates 9(20), Rachel Priest 18(17)

The New Zealand openers have batted with aggression so far, particularly Rachel priest who is scoring at more than run a ball at this point. Suzie Bates on the other hand has looked quite shaky and was even dismissed off a no-ball by Jhulan Goswami earlier. New Zealand will want to capitalise on the early chance.

Live cricket score India Women: 182/9 | Overs 50

Rajeshwari Gayakwad 1(1), Ravi Kalpana 0(0)

Veda Krishnamurthy has scored a lovely 63 to help India to the biggest score of this series so far. They batted very well in this match relatively and will be positive of their chances to seal victory.

Live cricket score India Women: 128/4 | Overs 42

Deepti Sharma 15(40), Veda Krishnamurthy 41(65)

Thanks to some sublime batting from Veda Krishnamurthy and she has been well assisted by Deepti Sharma at the other end. As a result the partnership has reached fifty runs. New Zealand bowlers will be desperate for a breakthrough now.

Live cricket score India Women: 78/4 | Overs 30

Deepti Sharma 0(5), Veda Krishnamurthy 12(28)

What Lea Tahuhu was doing for the white ferns in the first couple of matches, Sophie Devine is doing in this match which is to get batsmen out with pace and swing. She’s just been rewarded with the well-deserved wicket of Mithali Raj who was looking very good under the circumstances. Deepti Sharma at the crease now.

OUT! Mithali Raj 30 (70) c Priest b S Devine

Live cricket score India Women: 65/3 | Overs 25

Mithali Raj 29(63), Veda Krishnamurthy 5(10)

The India women are being held together by some steady batting by skipper Mithali Raj. After two game son the pitch, she has realised that there is no use going after the bowling and is batting accordingly. Harmanpreet Kaur was run out by some brilliant fielding from Katie Perkins.

OUT! Harman Kaur 11(41) run out K perkins

Live cricket score India Women: 45/2 | Overs 15

Mithali Raj 16(31), Harmanpreet Kaur 9(23)

Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur are batting well. They aren’t taking any undue risks, and have dug deep. Harmanpreet is batting a spot higher than she did in the last couple of games, which is a positive move from India.

Live cricket score India Women: 36/2 | Overs 10

Mithali Raj 9(16), Harmanpreet Kaur 7(8)

Sophie Devine is bowling beautifully, and has accounted for Smriti Mandhana. Mithali Raj is looking good though, and has been joined by the impressive Harmanpreet Kaur. Mithali has been in poor form of late, and will want to put in a good performance.

OUT! Smriti Mandhana 8(27) c Katie Perkins b Sophie Devine

Live cricket score India Women: 15/1 | Overs 4

Smriti Mandhana 4(12), Mithali Raj 0(3)

Lea Tahuhu and Sophie Devine start proceedings for the White Ferns, while Smriti Mandhana and Thirush Kamini start off for India. OH GONE! Sophie snaps up the wicket of Thirush Kamini for 4!

OUT! Thirush Kamini 4(8) c Satterthwaite b Sophie Devine

TOSS: Mithali Raj has won the toss, and India will bat first. Quite a few changes today for India, as Veda Krishnaswamy, Deepti Sharma, and Niranjana Nagarajan come in for Poonam Raut, Shikha Pandey and Sneh Rana. New Zealand too make a change, with Georgia Guy replacing Kate Broadmore.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the third One-Day International (ODI) between India women and New Zealand women at Bangalore on Friday. The second ODI underwent some nervy situations, with the White Ferns stumbling repeatedly before pulling off the chase of 164. Sophie Devine was the star of the innings for the White Ferns with a calming 33 under pressure, while she received adequate assistance from Katie Perkins and others. READ: New Zealand women beat India Women by 3 wickets in low-scoring 2nd ODI to level

The Indian women bowled quite well for most part but were guilty of giving away too many runs by way of extras. Jhulan Goswami was as accurate as ever and was rewarded with the wicket of Suzie Bates in the third over of the match. Rachel Priest and Amy Satterthwaite then got together to put on a steadying partnership. READ: India Women aiming for performance over results against New Zealand Women, says Mithali Raj

However, New Zealand were dealt a double-blow on the score of 46 with Priest and Maddie Green getting out of successive deliveries to the bowling of Rajeshwari Gayakwad. Satterthwaite was guilty of indecisive running and a Mithali Raj direct-hit resulted in closure of her innings for 23. Fears of a collapse were temporarily alleviated by Sophie Devine and Katie Perkins, both scoring into their thirties, but they threw their wickets away in quick succession just when it looked like the Kiwis would seal an easy victory. Perkins went for an unnecessarily aggressive shot to lose her wicket for 30, while Devine was stumped on 33.
