That’s it. Northern Knights win the match by six wickets and with 16 balls to spare. The 39-year old Styris comes back for the third, makes it with a dive. He celebrates with his arms aloft, Pollard cuts a sorry figure. Styris is also the man of the match for his bowling spell. End of the road for Mumbai in this tournament. Northern Knights and Lahore Lions qualify for the main tournament. Knights go to group A with KKR, CSK, Scorchers and Dolphins and Lions go to group B with KXIP, Hurricanes, Cobras and Tridents.

So only three requires now. Game is gone for Mumbai.

Out! Another one gone. Is there any twist in the tail? 18 requires in 24 balls.

Flynn c Harbhajan b P Ojha 13(16)

What a catch by Harbhajan. Bj Watling is gone for no score. But the match is almost gone.
BJ Watling c Harbhajan Singh b Bumrah 0 (4)

Only 21 requires now. The match is almost gone for Mumbai.

Second wicket for Mumbai. But it seems too little too late for Mumbai. Knights only requires 30 runs in 42 balls. Kane Williamson is gone for well made 53.
K Williamson c Pollard b Bumrah 53 (36)

50 for Kane Williamson. What a timely half century for him. Northern Knights in verge of eliminating Mumbai Indians from the Champion’s League.

Mallinga’s over safely negotiated by Williamson and Flynn, both are batting smartly. in verge of eliminating Mumbai Indians

At least something to cheer for Mumbai. Devcich goes inside-out and holes out to Pollard at long off. Good running catch by Pollard. Knights need 49 from 60 balls.
Devcich c Pollard b Harbhajan 39(34)

Lahore Lions player must be celebrating now. Knights now need 53 of 66 balls to win.

Mumbai Indians are going down fast. Looks like Northern Knights are in a hurry.

Good over by Ojha, but still the Knights batsmen are playing very comfortably.

So the Northern Knights are qualified for the main tournament. Now its only between Mumbai and Lahore. And from the current situation of the match, Lahore Lions are favourite.

Another poor over by Mumbai. Williamson is now coming to his own. He hits Harbhajan for a wonderful boundary.

Poor over by Mallinga. He is lucky to concede only 7 runs in the over. He is struggling to hold the wet ball.

Harbhajan Singh bowls a steady over. 5 runs have came from it. Mumbai needs more of those.

Bad over Bumrah. drifting onto the pads, Williamson cashes in as he flicks it neatly through square leg. Beautiful timing from Williamson. Also he bowls two wides.

Good first over for the Knights. Devcich hits Mallinga for their first boundary. Knights just need to play sensible cricket to go past Mumbai Indians and eliminate them from the tournament.

133 to win in 20 overs. The Knights would have taken this score when Flynn asked Mumbai to bat. The bowling and fielding was exceptional, especially the fielding. All of them were electric and pulled off some terrific catches.

Southee to Gopal, 1 run, OUT, full now, on middle and leg, and he clips it off his toes towards deep midwicket and turns back for the second. Throw beats Shreyas to the keeper’s end, where Watling collected the ball in front of the crease and underarmed it into the stumps on the dive.
Shreyas Gopal run out (Boult/Watling) 24(12)

Southee to Malinga, OUT, shuffles across his stumps, goes too far across, and he bowls it full and bowls Malinga behind his legs as he misses the flick.
Malinga b Southee 20(8)

What a knock Mallinga is playing. 16 runs from the over. One over to go, Mumbai are looking for 130. Mallinga is on strike for the last over.

Two boundaries for Mallinga in the over of Boult. Mumbai reach 100 now. 11 runs comes for this over.

Big wicket for the Knights. Pollard gone. It’s short again by Southee, and Harris dives to his left at deep square leg to catch Pollard’s uppish pull. Knights are favourites now.
Pollard c Dan Harris b Southee 31(24)

Out! Gone another brilliant piece of cricket by Knights. Harbhajan Singh falls this time. Devcich takes a well-judged catch on the long-off boundary. Pollard though playing his normal game.
Harbhajan Singh c Devcich b Kuggeleijn 10 (14)

Both batsmen are picking up pace now. 11 runs comes from this over. Harbhajan hits a six to Sodhi. Much needed runs for the Mumbai based IPL team.

Great over for Knights. Just one run came from this over of Kuggeleijn.

What a spell for Styris. 4 overs no maiden, 21 runs and 3 important wickets. MI should somehow manage to get to 130-135. This pitch isn’t a batting paradise, and is looking very slow, ball is not coming to the bat so spinners would be useful for MI.

Pollard is playing aggressively. Mumbai needs at least 120 to fight. Now Pollard is the main man for them.

Fifth one down for Mumbai. Boult gets Rayudu with an excellent bouncer. Harbhajan Singh comes out to bat in the 11th over.
A Rayudu c †Watling b Boult 6 (14)

Third wicket for Styris. He is on fire now. Mumbai is in deep trouble now. Mumbai captain, Pollard is the new man in. He needs play an innings of his lifetime to pull Mumbai out of this situation.
A Tare c Watling b Styris 7 (10)

The Knights are really doing well. Mumbai needs to up the scoring rate.

Out! what a bad shot by Simmons. Styris has another. Mumbai is in deep trouble now. Aditya Tare is the new man in.
L Simmons b Styris 13 (17)

First sign of spin in the match. Ish Sodhi bowled a good first over.

Another one gone for the Mumbai Indians. Fantastic low catch from Williamson at short cover. Experienced Styris gets one early. Ambati Rayudu is the new man in. Good powerplay for the Knights.
J Saxena c Williamson b Styris 10 (8)

Good over for Mumbai. 15 runs came from this over of Kuggeleijn. Simmons got a lucky boundary early in the over and in the last ball of the over Saxena hits one out of long-off boundary.

Gone! First wicket for the Knights. Hussey comes down the pitch, and he gets no elevation on that attempted big hit down the ground, and mid-on has to dive forward and to his right to catch that. Well taken! Jalaj Saxena is the new man in.
M Hussey c Kuggeleijn b Southee 7 (12)

Steady Start for MI. First boundary of the match came in this over.

Good start for Tim Southee too. Only one run came from this over. The Knights team is fielding really well. Saved more than five runs already.

Trent Boult starts proceedings for the Northern Knights. The ball is swinging a bit. Negotiated safely by the MI openers. Both Hussey and Simmons have opened their accounts.

Welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog of the final qualifier match of the Champions League T20 2014 (CLT20) between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Northern Knights at Raipur on Tuesday. I am Sandipan Banerjee and I will be bringing the live updates of the match. Both these teams are coming at the back of defeat in their first qualifier match. Read the preview of the match here

Mumbai Indians face a must win situation in order to qualify for the main stage of the tournament. On the other hand, the Northern Knights will look to carry on with the momentum into the main stage. Lahore Lions cannot equal the net run rate of the Mumbai Indians as they had to restrict SOuthern Express within 78 runs. So all are in the hands of MI, if they win they go through but if they lose then Lahore will go through. Mumabi Indians are the defending champions and they would surely want to qualify for the main stage. Whereas, ther Knights came into the tournament qualifiers as underdogs but they are the first team to get close to qualifying. Even if they lose to Mumbai Indians they can qualify ahead Lahore and Mumbai because of their net run rate.

Both the teams have enough ammunition to showcase a classic T20 encounter. Mumbai will be desperate to win this game and seal a berth in the main stage and the Knights will look to carry on with the momentum that they have gained so far.
