LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Sylhet Super Stars 179/6 in Overs 20 | BATTING: Mushfiqur Rahim 50 (34), Ajantha Mendis 1 (6): Taskin Ahmed is taken apart, but how good is Mohammad Aamer!? This guy seriously needs to get back to international cricket. He bowls an outstanding ante-penultimate over, just 5 off it. Now 9 needed off the final over and Aamer to bowl it. Mushy gets a boundary, 3 to win off the last ball. Just 1, and Aamer has done it again! Chittagong win! OUT! Mohammad Shahid 3 (4) run out

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Sylhet Super Stars 155/5 in Overs 17 | BATTING: Mushfiqur Rahim 32 (24), Mohammad Shahid 2 (2): Lots of action happening at the moment! Shafiul Islam and Saeed Ajmal are taking wickets but the Sylhet batsmen are not giving up. Mushfiqur Rahim keeping the fight alive. OUT! Nurul Hasan 32 (20) LBW Shafiul Islam, Nazmul Hossain Milon b Shafiul Islam 9 (8)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Sylhet Super Stars 122/3 in Overs 13 | BATTING: Mushfiqur Rahim 16 (14), Nurul Hasan 28 (16): Mushfiqur and Nurul have formed a solid stand for the fourth wicket, and Sylhet seems to be on their way back on track in this chase. They now need 59 runs from 42 balls, and one or two good overs will put them in commanding position in this game. Nurul has looked good as he has struck three boundaries and a six so far.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Sylhet Super Stars 82/3 in Overs 9 | BATTING: Mushfiqur Rahim 4 (4), Nurul Hasan 2 (2): Saeed Ajmal has wrecked the chase for Sylhet as he has grabbed two big wickets of the on-song Munaweera and Mominul Haque. All of a sudden the Sylhet Super Stars have lost three wickets and they now need a strong partnership to revive their chase. Sylhet now need 99 runs to win from 11 overs with seven wickets in their hands.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Sylhet Super Stars 65/0 in Overs 6 | BATTING: Dilshan Munaweera 55 (24), Junaid Siddique 5 (12): Munaweera has smashed a 22-ball half-century with the help of 10 boundaries and a six, as Sylhet Super Stars have seized initiative against the Chittagong Vikings in style. They now need 116 runs from 14 overs, which should not be a tough task given that they have all their wickets intact!

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Sylhet Super Stars 29/0 in Overs 2 | BATTING: Dilshan Munaweera 29 (11), Junaid Siddique 0(1): Dilshan Munaweera just compensated for his expensive spell with SIX boundaries in an over! On the receiving end was Tillakaratne Dilshan, who was slammed for a four on every single delivery in his first over of the game! Sylhet Super Stars are on fire!

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Chittagong Vikings 180/5 in Overs 20 | BATTING: Ziaur Rahman 15(7): An excellent end to the innings as Chittagong Vikings have really ended this in style. Yasir Ali fell for a well-made 63 with the help of four sixes as Chittagong have ensured they remain on top in this clash against the Sylhet Super Stars. We will be back soon with the second innings! OUT! Yasir Ali run out 63 (52)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Chittagong Vikings 138/3 in Overs 17 | BATTING: Yasir Ali 36(42), Jeevan Mendis 10(20): Chittagong Vikings have lost their way after making a rollicking start. They looked set for a huge total at one moment, but with four wickets down it seems like they will make an at-par total.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Chittagong Vikings 104/2 in Overs 13 | BATTING: Yasir Ali 24(31), Anamul Haque 1(1): Just when Super Stars needed a breakthrough, Ajantha Mendis delivers. Tamim’s excellent innings did not last more than 12 overs as he was dismissed on the second delivery of the 13th over. Mendis goes outside off, while Tamim tried to drive it but ended up edging to the third man, where Mohammad Shahid makes no mistake in grabbing it. If the opponents thought they can not put brakes in the Vikings’ runs, Yasir has other ideas. Just after that dismissal, Yasir smashed Mendis for a four and then for a huge six. OUT! Tamim Iqbal c Mohammad Shahid b Mendis 69(45)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Chittagong Vikings 70/1  in Overs 9 | BATTING: Tamim Iqbal 50(33), Yasir Ali 10(20):  Tamim has completed a half-century and it seems that he has been quiet disturbed or perhaps fired up after that incident. He has slammed two sixes and six boundaries to score 50 runs off 33 balls. Yasir has been quite from the other end.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Chittagong Vikings 46/1  in Overs 5 | BATTING: Tamim Iqbal 33(22), Yasir Ali 4(7):  Tamim has been clobbering runs all over the park and he has single-handedly taken Chittagong Vikings off to a flying start. He has so far struck five boundaries and a six in his innings. Yasir Ali is yet to get going.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Chittagong Vikings 17/1  in Overs 3 | BATTING: Tamim Iqbal 14(15), Yasir Ali 2(3): After a delayed start, Super Stars struck early. Subashis Roy removed Dilshan in the his very first over. The Sri Lankan while he went for a pull, timed it badly giving an easy catch to Mominul Haque, leaving Vikings at 14 for 1. First ball duck for Dilshan, not a great start for him in the BPL. OUT! Tillakaratne Dilshan c Mominul Haque b Subashis Roy 0(1)

TOSS: Sylhet Super Starts have won the toss and they will be fielding. The toss was delayed at Dhaka because Sylhet captain Mushfiquer Rahim was involved in an urgent off-field matter.

The delay in the toss has also resulted in a late start in the match, however we are lucky that it will be a complete 20-overs per side match at the Dhaka stadium.

Reports of a heated discussion between Tamim Iqbal and some organisers (also from Bangladesh Cricket Board) is coming in. PakPassion reported that the opening batsmen from Chittagong Vikings walked off the field after coming out.

The dispute is on the NOCs (No-objection certificates) to two cricketers from Sylhet, Joshua Cobb and Ravi Bopara. Since these two cricketers did not have the necessary NOCs, their names were not mentioned on the sheet that Mushfiqur exchanged with Tamim. But by the time the game began, the NOCs arrived and Sylhet decided to play them. This is what irked Tamim, who reportedly had a heated discussing with the officials.

In the team led by Mushfiqur Rahim, the Sylhet Super Stars have many star players such as Brad Hodge, Ajantha Mendis, Fidel Edwards, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Ravi Bopara and Abdur Razzak.

On the other side, Chittagong Vikings will be captained by the explosive Bangladeshi batsman Tamim Iqbal.  The star players in the Chittagong Vikings’ squad are Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kamran Akmal, Saeed Ajmal, Jeevan Mendis, Mohammed Aamer, Taskin Ahmed, Elton Chigumbura and many more such Robin Peterson, Chamara Kapugedara and a few others.

In the first match, Tamim lead from the front as he smashed a fine half-century, and others such as Dilshan, Jeevan Mendis and Anamul Haque chipped in with useful contributions to help their side score 187 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs. However, despite an impressive four-wicket haul from the talented Pakistani bowler Mohammad Aamer, the Chittagong Vikings were not able to register a win as Rangpur Riders were able to chase down the target, helped by Misbah-ul-Haq’s ionnings of 61.
