Lalit Modi: Im glad that the SC is taking a harsh measure against the BCCI. I think thats the right direction, as far as the fans of cricket are concerned. After all the enquiries that have been going on, we dont need another one. We need to get this thing settled and move on. BCCI though wants to maintain themselves in power and hold on to their seat, without sparing a thought for the game.
Justice Mukul Mudgal: I can’t say anything about that [On Srinvasan’s dimming chances of returning to the BCCI]
Pradeep Magazine[Senior journalist]: The way Supreme Court has handled the issue so far, if there was an external panel, I’m sure it would be free of BCCI’s influence. If the SC is saying that the Mudgal Panel is the final investigating authority, then the Mudgal’s findings will be the word of truth on the investigation. It was high time the conflict of interest was brought out in the open. Im sure Meiyappan’s associates will be revealed in the open in the future.
Sarbananda Sonowal [Union Sports Minister]: [to the media] Let me go through the reports first, then ill come back to you.
Ac Muthiah (Former BCCI chief]: It couldnt be a better judgement than this. The board must realise
Kirti Azad: The SC has given an important observation. Im sure cricket will get clean with the passage of time.

Some of the major events expected in this hearing are – will the SC clear N Srinivasan to resume term as BCCI chief and what decision will be taken on Gurunath Meiyappan whose involvement with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been proved. Earlier, Srinivasan had said that Meiyappan was just an ‘enthusiast’.
Additionally, Sunder Raman who was IPL’s COO until 2008, has been found to have contacted a bookie eight times during a single season. From the names mentioned above, only Srinivasan and Raman have filed their grievances after the decision.
