Stay updated with us as we will bring you the MCC’s chase as soon as it starts.

Yuvraj does hit the last ball of Ajmal’s spell for a six over deep mid-wicket with a slog sweep. Ajmal finishes with figures of 10-0-45-4.

Tait to bowl his 10th and final over. Siddle and Yuvraj look quite comfortable right now. The singles are coming easily, but they need to hit a few more boundaries. The last ball of the over hits Siddle’s pads, but the appeal is turned down as there was an inside-edge.

Tendulkar bowls a length delivery and Yuvraj pulls towards long-on for a four. What a moment as that is his century. The whole of Lord’s applauds his effort. Yuvraj then moves to the off side and whips one towards long-leg for another four.

In the end, no one goes for the catch and the ball falls safely at square-leg. Drinks have been called for.

Tendulkar says ‘enough is enough’ and brings Ajmal back. Collingwood slogs one towards deep mid-wicket but the substitute fielder drops an easy one. If the catch was taken, then Ajmal would have had five right now. Ajmal also gets one to bounce higher as Yuvraj edges it, but is lucky not to edge the ball. Vettori bowls one straight and Yuvraj steps forward and slog sweeps the ball for a six over deep mid-wicket. He is finding his groove. Hope for the sake of this match, it continues. Yuvraj then guides one towards third-man and gets three runs.

Yuvraj comes down the track and takes the first ball from Finch on the full and clears the deep mid-wicket fence. That is the first six of the match. The next delivery is pulled for a four by Yuvraj towards the same region. Finally a good over for RoW. The batsmen have crossed the 50-run stand.

Tendulkar means business as Ajmal continues. Releasing Ajmal in his prime against some who are either retired or not playing regularly for their national teams is completely unfair.

Tait continues. RoW don’t have much batsmen left after this pair. Tait bowls a good over as only two runs come from it.

Pietersen comes down the track and Ajmal bowls a doosra. He misses the ball and Read stumps KP. Well, this does not look very good for RoW. Shahid Afridi is the next batsman in. Ajmal bowls an off-spinner and Afridi plays across the line. Afridi is bowled by Ajmal. The spinner is playing spoilsport it seems. This is more of a T20 than a 50 over match. This does not look like an exhibition game.
OUT! K Pietersen st Read b Ajmal 10(13), Afridi b Ajmal 0(2)

The ‘Pie Chuckers’ are batting together. Tait has been brought back into the attack. Tait bowls one on the pads and Pietersen hits the ball through mid-wicket for his first four in the innings. Yuvraj gets off the mark with a single towards backward-point.

Ajmal continues. He bowls from round the wicket and pitches one around off-stump to Tamim. The ball straightens and hits the pads. The players appeal and the umpire raises his finger. This is not looking good for RoW. Yuvraj Singh is the next batsman.
OUT! T Iqbal lbw Ajmal 1(6)

Just as Pietersen comes into bat, left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori comes into bowl. Good captaincy from Tendulkar. Vettori seems like he is paying tribute to the great WG Grace.

Saeed Ajmal comes into the attack. Gilchrist comes down the track and goes for an expansive shot. Gilchrist misses and Chris Read stumps him out. Suddenly, RoW have both their openers. Kevin Pietersen walks out to bat at No 4. This should be very interesting. He gets off the mark with a single towards long-on.
OUT! Gilchrist st Read b Ajmal 29(21)

Lee has been kept on by Sachin Tendulkar. The first delivery is full and on the ads. Sehwag whips it through fine-leg for a four. Lee then bowls a good length delivery on off-stump. The ball comes in after pitching and Sehwag goes for the straight drive. He misses, but Lee does not and Sehwag is bowled.
OUT V Sehwag b B Lee 22(24)

Tait then bowls a short delivery and Gilchrist pulls over square-leg for another four. The next delivery is driven through cover for the fourth four in the over. That brings up the 50 for RoW. It is like Gilchrist and Sehwag are in their prime.

Lee comes back to bowl a good over. Only three runs came from the over.

Gul drifts one on the pads and Sehwag flicks the ball through square-leg for another four. Gul bowls a slower delivery and Sehwag tries to drive. He edges the ball past first slip for a four.

Brett Lee will open the bowling for the Marylebone Cricket Club. Adam Gilchrist and Virender Sehwag will open the batting for Rest of the World XI. Gilchrist gets off the mark on the first ball with two runs.
