Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day 4 of the second Test between England and Pakistan at Old Trafford, Manchester. At stumps of Day 3, England were 98 for 1, led Pakistan by 489 runs. Mohammad Aamer dismissed English opener Alex Hales in the very beginning of England’s second innings. He was caught behind by Sarfraz Ahmed in the 16th over, leaving England at 68 for 1. The duo of Joe Root and Alastair Cook will resume England’s innings on Day 4 at Old Trafford. When Pakistan came in to bat after a terrible bowling display, yet another spectacular performance form Chris Woakes saw them bundling out for 198. He picked 4 wickets while the other breakthroughs were made by James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes. Misbah-ul-Haq was the top-scorer for his side with fighting 52 off 114 balls. His fight was brought to an end by Ali in the 60th over.

Pakistan have had nothing going for them in this Test so far. They are trailing England by 489 runs with two full days left in the match. It will be interesting to see how much England pile up on the board before they declare tomorrow. Pakistan have a tough task in hand to draw this match
