Hello and warm welcome to our live updates of the second One-Day International (ODI) between Sri Lanka and South Africa at Pallekele. I am Shrikant Shankar, and I will be taking you to through the updates for the entire match.
After winning the first One-Day International (ODI), South Africa will be feeling very good about clinching their maiden bilateral ODI series in Sri Lanka. Hashim Amla‘s terrific ton and AB de Villiers fluent half-century ensured that the Proteas were in control for much of the match. Kumar Sangakkara battled hard, but his effort was not enough to pull off a victory.
Sri Lanka have yet to lose a tournament in 2014, but they are in serious danger of that in this match. They will be eager to give another good account of themselves by defeating the visitors. Lasith Malinga and TM Dilshan are the highet wicket taker and run scorer respectively at Pallekele, and will be pleased to return to the ground. South Africa may be ahead, but it would be foolish to write the hosts off.
