The match has been called off and Sri Lanka have won by 27 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method. They are into the final on April 6.
The rain has reduced a bit at the ground, but the conditions are nowhere near to resuming play. Know the latest at what happens at Dhaka in out live updates.

There is actually a hail storm now and the grounds crew are running for cover. At the moment Sri Lanka are 27 runs ahead via the Duckworth-Lewis method.

Kulasekara comes back into the attack. Bravo pulls a back of a length delivery towards deep backward square-leg. Jayawardene takes the catch and there are wild celebrations from the Lankans. Darren Sammy is the next batsman in. Rain comes down hard at the ground. Play is stopped for now.
OUT! D Bravo c Jayawardene b Kulasekara 30(19)
Herath to bowl his final over. He tosses one up and Samuels drives through extra-cover for a four. Herath bowls a length delivery and Bravo plays a lofted cover drive and gets a six. A total of 11 runs came from that over.
Angelo Mathews replaces Prasanna. There is some thunder around the ground at Dhaka. The wind is getting stronger as well. Maybe rain on the cards! The last ball is a low full-toss and Bravo smashes that along the ground towards cover-point. But Kulasekara dives in and stops a certain four at the boundary.
Herath to bowl. The batsmen exchange two singles on the first two deliveries of the over. Then Bravo pulls a length delivery for a four in front of deep mid-wicket.
Prasanna comes in. Bravo drives on the up and gets a four over extra-cover. Samuels then hits a full delivery towards long-on and gets a single. That is the 50 for West Indies. Bravo then drives one through deep cover and gets two runs. Dilshan does exceptionally well to save the boundary.
Herath continues. Samuels whips one through deep mid-wicket and gets two runs. The batsmen exchange a further two runs in the over.
Seekkuge Prasanna comes into the attack. He is a leg-spinner. His first ball is a skidder and it traps Simmons on the pads as he tries to play a late cut. The Sri Lankans appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Dwayne Bravo is the next batsman in. Bravo pulls a short delivery towards wide long-on and gets a four.
OUT! L Simmons LBW b Prasanna 4(8)
Rangana Herath comes into the attack. He is the man who changed the match against New Zealand on its head. He picked up five wickets for three runs. Samuels drives a full delivery towards deep cover and gets one run.
Kulasekara comes in. The scoring has slowed down a lot now. This is a similar situation West Indies found themselves in the 2012 final. But they managed to win that. They had Samuels to thank for that. He is out in the middle now.
Malinga comes in. He bowls a slower delivery outside off-stump and Gayle pushes his bat tentatively at it. He inside-edges the ball onto the stumps. Gayle is bowled for only three runs. Lendl Simmons is the next batsman in. Smith also gets bowled by Malinga. What an over! West Indies in shock. Sri Lanka ecstatic.
OUT! C Gayle b Malinga 3(13), D Smith b Malinga 17(14)
Senanayake continues. He gives away only three runs in the over. So, it has not been all slam-bang from the West Indies.
Lasith Malinga replaces Kulasekara. He bowls a yorker and Smith flicks it away towards short fine-leg for a single. Gayle then guides the last ball towards third-man for a single.
Sachitra Senanayake will share the new ball with Kulasekara. Senanayake tosses one up and Gayle turns it away towards square-leg and gets of the mark with a single.
Dwayne Smith and Chris Gayle will begin the run-chase for West Indies. Nuwan Kulasekara will bowl the first over. The first ball is hit high over mid-wicket. The ball bounces inside the ground but trickles away for a four. The second ball is slammed over deep mid-wicket for a six. Smith then hits one towards long-on for a single. Kulasekara bowls one down the leg side and it is a wide. He again bowls a wide down the leg side and the ball races away for a four towards fine-leg.

Now that is a very good total Sri Lanka have posted. They had a positive start, but lost their way in the middle with the loss of some quick wickets. But a late charge has given them the momentum. West Indies need their better batsmen to score a lot of runs and quickly. Sri Lanka have some quality spinners. It should be a fascinating run-chase.

Russell will bowl the last over in the innings. His first ball is full and wide. Mathews gets some bat onto that. The ball goes towards third-man and he gets one run. Prasanna and Mathews then exchange a few singles. Mathews then smashes one over deep extra-cover for a six. Russell bowls one short and Mathews hooks it over deep backward-square-leg for a six. The last ball is flicked towards deep square-leg, but Bravo takes a brilliant catch. Sri Lanka have posted a competitive 160 for six.
OUT! A Mathews 40(23)
Santokie to bowl his final over as well. Mathews slogs a wide delivery over wide long-on for a six. Mathews then hits one in the same direction. The ball bounces high and goes over Bravo for a four. The next ball is lofted over extra-cover for a four. Mathews then takes a single towards the leg side. Prasanna hits one towards long-on and gets two runs.
Slight good news for Sri Lanka as Narine comes into bowl his final over. But they totally have only three overs left. Seekkuge Prasanna slog-sweeps a length delivery and Dwayne Bravo catches the ball at deep square-leg and throws it back in as he goes over the boundary line. Prasanna gets three runs.

The ball goes towards deep mid-wicket and Mathews gets one run. Thirimanne then slaps a good length delivery straight to Simmons at backward-point.
OUT! L Thirimanne 44(35)
Narine comes in. The Sri Lankan batsmen are playing Narine with caution as they don’t want him to get on top. Now Narine has only one over left.

Russell comes back into the attack. Mathews hits one towards extra-cover and takes off for a quick single. Samuels picks up the ball and throws at the batsman’s end. Thirimanne is short of the crease, but Samuels does not get a direct hit. The ball hits Gayle on the knee and he walks out of the field for treatment. Thirimanne guides a wide dleivery towards third-man. Samuels misfields and the ball goes for a four. The 100 comes up for Sri Lanka in this over. Thirimanne then upper-cuts a short and wide delivery over deep point for a six.
Samuels to bowl his final over. Dilshan pushes the first delivery towards wide long-on and takes two runs. He then flicks the next delivery towards deep square-leg and takes another two runs. There was also a misfield at the deep. Dilshan then hits one towards mid-off and takes off. Thirimanne sends him back as Lendl Simmons throws at the batsman’s end. Samuels continues. He again bowls a good over. Only three runs come from Samuels’s second over.
Russell comes into the attack. HeHe is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. Russell bowls one down the leg side and Dilshan flicks it away towards fine-leg for a four. Dilshan hits one towards long-off and takes off for two runs. The throw is at the bowler’s end and Thirimanne is short of the crease, but Russell does not collect the ball.
Marlon Samuels has been brought into the attack. He bowls a tight over as only four runs come from it.
Badree comes in. Sangakkara tries to turn one on the pads but top-edges back to the bowler, who takes a comfortable catch. Sri Lanka are reeling here. Lahiru Thirimanne is the next batsman in. He gets of the mark with a single towards long-off. That is also the 50 for Sri Lanka.
OUT! K Sangakkara 1(6)
