That’s all we have for today, this is Shiamak Unwalla signing off. I hope you enjoyed the coverage as much as I enjoyed bringing it to you. In case you missed what happened on Day Two, you can read our day report here.

Bangladesh 104/7 | Overs 42

Mahmudullah 13(35), S Islam 6(21)

This pair of Mahmudullah and Shafiul have steadied the ship a bit, but West Indies completely in the driver’s seat. Big Benn comes on now, he has had precious little to do so far, since the pacers, especially Roach, have dominated proceedings. OH AND HE STRIKES! Shafiul out LBW! But wait, he calls for a review. Replays inconclusive, but the benefit will probably go to the batsman here. Yes, he survives. So at stumps on Day Two, Bangladesh are 104 for seven, 77 away from avoiding the follow-on.

Bangladesh 89/7 | Overs 35

Mahmudullah 4(15)

And Roach gets Five! This was on the cards, Taijul Islam was chancing his arm repeatedly, hits this one straight into the hands of the man at third man. And Roach picks up his sixth fifer in Tests.

OUT! T Islam 12(11) c Gabriel b Roach

Bangladesh 69/6 | Overs 32.1

Mahmudullah 0(9)

AND ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST! Bangladesh continue to fold up haplessly, West Indies continue to dominate proceedings. The new man didn’t bother anyone much.

OUT! N Hossain 1(3) c Ramdin b Roach

Bangladesh 68/5 | Overs 31.4

Mahmudullah 0(9), N Hossain 0(0)

And Taylor has another! Bangladesh right on the back foot now. That’s a massive wicket, Mushfiqur Rahim loses his off stump. Jerome Taylor has his second, and Bangladesh are going nowhere but down at the moment!

OUT! M Rahim 4(22) b Taylor

Bangladesh 65/4 | Overs 27.5

M Rahim 2(8)

OH THAT IS SHARP! Great bowling from Taylor and a terrific catch by Jermaine Blackwood. Bangladesh lose their fourth. It’s all unravelling very quickly here.

OUT! M Haque 3(34) c Blackwood b Taylor

Bangladesh 62/3 | Overs 24.4

M Haque 3(22), M Rahim 0(0)

Oh Tamim Iqbal, what have you done? After batting so very, very well he goes and hangs out his bat to a nothing delivery from Roach. Completely squandered an excellent start! In comes Mushfiqur Rahim, the only man who looked like a respectable batsman in the first Test, comes to the middle.

OUT! T Iqbal 48(75) c Ramdin b Roach

Bangladesh 43/2 | Overs 18.3

T Iqbal 32(60), M Haque 0(0)

OH AND HE’S GONE! Roach breaks through, he gets rid of Anamul! Mominul comes in now.

OUT! A Haque 9(39) c Bravo b Roach

Bangladesh 35/1 | Overs 15

T Iqbal 27(51), A Haque 6(27)

Bangladesh making steady progress here after Tea. Both men looking secure in the middle. The West Indian bowlers will be looking to break though, but at the moment they have to bear with some disciplined batting by this pair.

Bangladesh 25/1 | Overs 12

T Iqbal 23(46), A Haque 1(14)

So the pair of Tamim and Anamul take Bangladesh to Tea without further incident. West Indies have looked probing, and Shannon Gabriel created an opportunity when he pegged Tamim on the back foot. But the resultant review went innocently as the ball had pitched outside the leg stump.

Bangladesh 24/1 | Overs 10

T Iqbal 23(35), A Haque 0(13)

Anamul has left the ball well, while Tamim has looked positive in the middle. Shannon Gabriel is now into the attack. Roach and Taylor kept things tight, can he make a few inroads now? He has looked good in this first over, induced a false shot from Anamul, who is yet to score a run.

Bangladesh 14/1 | Overs 5.2

T Iqbal 13(20)

Kemar Roach and Jerome Taylor start proceedings for West Indies. Tamim Iqbal looking positive, Shamsur Rahman looking steady. They have done the hard work by getting West Indies all out for less than 400, can they capitalise now? OH Shamsur can’t! Unfortunate way to get out, Roach put this one on his pads, and he edges behind to Ramdin, well taken.

OUT! S Rahman 1(12) c Ramdin b Roach

To take you through till the end of the day’s play, here’s Shiamak Unwalla.

That’s all over for West Indies. They are all out for 380 runs. Shivnarine Chanderpaul remained unbeaten on one end and other wickets kept on tumbling on the other end. The Bangladesh innings to begin soon. So stay tuned for further updates.
Jerome Taylor is playing a little gem at the St. Kitts. He’s raced to 40 runs from just 31 balls with two huge sixes and five boundaries. If he goes at this rate then he’ll surely go past Shivnarine Chanderpaul soon. Bangladesh bowlers are being taken apart by Taylor single handedly.
West Indies now have lost four quick wickets. Shivnarine Chanderpaul is about to bring up his 65th Test half-century. Al-Amin Hossain has bowled really well since morning. Kemar Roach was the last man to be dismissed.
OUT! Kemar Roach c rahim b Shafiul 0 (3)

West Indies 251/4 | Overs 97.5

Shivnarine Chanderpaul 35 (105)

Out!! Bravo Caught by Rahim!! Reward for Bangladesh for hitting the right areas this morning. Very full and swinging back in a touch, Bravo tries to squeeze it out, he jams his bat onto the ground but at the same time, the ball takes the outside edge and goes through to Rahim. Bravo did not feel the edge and he sent it upstairs but the replays proved that the on-field ump made the right call.

OUT! Darren Bravo c Rahim b Robiul Islam 46(123)

The hosts have made a slow start to the day, and look in no hurry to launch into attack-mode. The first three overs were a maiden, and the fourth one went for a run.

Welcome to the live blog of Day two of the second Test between West Indies and Bangladesh at St Lucia. It was a historic first day for the hosts as they were playing their 500th Test match. But the proceedings had nothing much exciting to offer though the West Indies played well. They resume the day on 246 for three with Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Darren Bravo on the crease.

Leon Johnson celebrated his debut with a half-century and the in-form Kraigg Brathwaite cashed in again, but the timid West Indies made heavy weather of an ordinary Bangladesh attack. The openers put on a solid 143-run stand before Brathwaite was dismissed for 63. Johnson departed few balls later out for 66.

Despite the slow start, the hosts are very much in control of the proceedings. With Chanderpaul and Bravo on the crease, Bangladesh will have to put up a far better show than they did on the first day.
