The umpires and officials have decided to call off the only Twenty20 encounter of the ongoing tour after holding a discussion on the pitch and the technical conditions. The Twenty series is shared between the two sides as a result and Bangladesh will be happy to have broken their losing-streak that they had been plagued with for quite some time now. The West Indians on the other hand would be disappointed to have missed out on some big-hitting during the course of the match courtesy the batting stars in their side.

The two teams will now head to Jamaica on the September 5 for the first of the two Tests scheduled for the remainder of the tour.

With 17 runs coming in from the last two overs, the openers are starting to stretch their arms slowly. Dwayne Bravo to bowl the next over. Ominous signs all over the ground as it is beginning to drizzle along with flashes of lightning. A sticky wicket later in the evening could be a matter of conern for Sammy’s boys. The wind is also making life difficult for the bowlers.

The second over by Sheldon Cottrell goes for a maiden as Bangladesh are off to a slow start. Iqbal and Haque have step things up if they are to post a challenging total and keep their hopes of a win alive.

West Indies will look to extend their domination of Bangladesh in the one-off Twenty20 International at Basseterre on Thursday. The hosts whitewashed the three-match One-Day International (ODI), with the last match being won by them by a 91-run margin. Bangladesh on the other hand will desperately look to end their miserable-run in international cricket, having failed to beat a Test team in any format for the last one year.

While the West Indians will walk into the Warner Park a more confident side with T20 specialists in the form of Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine among others in their squad. Having played in the recent Caribbean Premier League, they will be expected to fire with the bat and ball from the word ‘go’. The visitors on the other hand will rely heavily on the likes of the experienced Tamim Iqbal to get the runs flowing for them.
