Elton Chigumbura is the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 53 runs off 21 deliveries. He struck six fours and three sixes. Shahzad comes in. He bowls a short delivery outside off-stump. Maruma goes for the pull but gets a top-edge through third-man for a four. Maruma then gets two runs and three runs. Chigumbura hits one over long-on for a six. That is the end of the match. Zimbabwe win by five wickets. Chigumbura finishes unbeaten on 53 off 21 deliveries.
Amjad Javed comes into the attack. There is a comedy of errors as Chigumbura gets three runs. There were mis-fields, mix-ups and overthrows. Chigumbura hits the last ball of the over way over long-on for a six.
Guruge to bowl his last over. Chigumbura flicks one on the pads through fine-leg for a four. Chigumbura then flat-bats one to extra-cover, but the fielder drops the catch.
Raza comes in. Chigumbura hits a short delivery through mid-wicket for a four. Raza bowls a full-toss and Chigumbura smashes it through extra-cover for another four.
Khurram Khan comes into the attack. He too is a left-arm spinner. Sibanda hits one back to the bowler and he is out caught and bowled. Timycen Maruma is the next batsman in. He comes to the pitch of the ball and drives through cover for a four to get of the mark. He repeats the same shot again next ball and gets the same result.

Raza continues. Chigumbura gets a thick outside-edge off a cut shot and takes a single towards short third-man. That brings up Zimbabwe’s 50. Sibanda then comes down the track and hits one over straight long-on for a six. Sibanda then takes a single towards cover. Chigumbura then smashes a length delivery through extra-cover for a four. The batsmen further exchange two singles in the over.
Shahzad comes into the attack. Chigumbura hits a length delivery over deep square-leg for a six. Shahzad then bowls a short delivery and Chigumbura flat-bats it through wide mid-on for a four. Shahzad then bowls a full delivery outside off-stump and Chigumbura hits it over extra-cover for a four.
Ahmed Raza comes into the attack. He is a left-hand spinner. Sibanda and Raza exchange singles in the over. Raza then comes down the track and hits one in the air towards deep extra-cover. Kamran Shahzad runs from deep cover and takes a good catch to his right. Elton Chigumbura is the next batsman in.

Guruge comes in. Sibanda hits one through square-leg for two runs. Sibanda punches a back of a length delivery through mid-off and takes a quick single.
Silva continues. The batsmen exchange three singles in the over. This has turned out to be very difficult for Zimbabwe.
Guruge to bowl. Williams gets a leading edge back to the bowler and it is a simple catch. Vusi Sibanda is the next batsman in. He gets of the mark with an outside edge towards third-man.

Silva comes in. Taylor sweeps one in the air for a four behind square-leg. Taylor then hits a six down the ground. Next ball, he tries to hit one over long-off, but does not connect well. Shaiman Anwar takes a brilliant catch running backwards from mid-off. Seam Williams is the next batsman in.

Manjula Guruge will share the new ball with Silva. He is a left-arm medium-fast bowler. Masakadza comes down the track and swings across the line to a good length delivery. He misses and gets bowled. Brendan Taylor is the next batsman and he gets of the mark with a lofted drive over mid-off for a four.

Hamilton Masakadza and Sikandar Raza walk out to bat for Zimbabwe. Shadeep Silva will open the bowling for UAE. He is a left-arm spinner. Masakadza gets of the mark with a single towards longt-on. Raza cuts a wide delivery through point for a four to get of the mark.


Chatara to bowl the last over of the innings. He bowls one on a back of a length, but a slower delivery. Shahzad pulls that over deep mid-wicket for the first six of the innings. Chatara bowls a similar delivery and Shahzad smashes this one over wide long-off for another six. Chatara then darts one in on leg-stump and Shahzad misses with his pull shot and gets bowled. Manjula Guruge is the last batsman in. He gets of the mark with a single towards long-on. UAE finish at 116 for nine. It is a below-par score and Zimbabwe will be looking to chase down the target early to keep their chances alive to progress to the Super 10s.

Panyangara comes in. Silva hits one towards backward-point and gets a single. That brings up the 100 for UAE. Shahzad hits one through long-on for a single.
Chatara comes back into the attack. He bowls one on the pads and Shahzad flicks it away over mid-wicket for a four. Shahzad then takes a single towards long-on. Silva gets a single towards deep square-leg.
Utseya to bowl his last over. Kamran Shazad is the next batsman in. He gets of the mark with a quick single towards mid-wicket.
Raza to bowl. Silva hits a four towards cover. Javed then tries to launch one over deep square-leg, but he does not get enough distance and is caught by Panyangara at the boundary.

Utseya comes back into the attack. Silva gets of the mark with a single towards long-off. Utseya gives away only three runs in the over.
Williams to bowl his last over. Mustafa gets run out on the first ball. Ahmed Raza then hits one straight to Mushangwe at long-on and gets out for a duck. Shadeep Silva is the next batsman in.

Raza to bowl. The batsmen exchange three singles and Javed gets a two in the over.
Williams comes in. He bowls one on the stumps and Ali tries to work it away on through mid-wicket. He misses and is out LBW. This is turning out pretty good for Zimbabwe. Amjad Javed is the next batsman in and he gets of the mark with a single towards long-off.

Raza has been brought into the attack. Mustafa gets of the mark with a single towards covers. Raza then hits Patil’s pads and gets him out LBW. Amjad Ali is the next batsman in.

Williams continues. The batsmen exchange four singles of the first four deliveries in the over. Khan then gets and gets a top-edge. Elton Chigumbura takes a brilliant catch running to his right at deep backward square-leg. Rohan Mustafa is the new batsman in.

Mushangwe comes and and bowls one full outside off-stump. Khan comes down the track and takes it on the full and hits the ball through extra-cover for a four. Khan then comes down to the pitch of the ball and hits it in the air for a four through extra-cover. Khan then gets a single towards long-on. That is the 50-run partnership between Khan and Patil. This stand is important for UAE. Patil then cuts the last delivery for a four in front of point.
Sean Williams has been brought into the attack. Patil comes down the track and hits one in the air towards long-on for a single. Khan then pulls a really short delivery towards deep square-leg. The throw is not accurate and Raza collects it and shies at the bowler’s end. The ball misses everything and goes for four over-throws.
Natsai Mushangwe comes into the attack. He bowls one straight and Khan sweeps that behind square on the leg side for a four. Khan and Patil exchange singles. Khan then slams one through cover for a single.
Panyangara comes in. He bowls one straight and Patil lofts it over mid-on for a four. Panyangara then bowls a short and wide delivery and Patil cuts it away in the air in-between backward-point and short third-man for a four. Patil then drives a full delivery in-between extra-cover and mid-off for another four.
Chatara comes from the other end. Patil pushes one towards wide mid-on for a single. Only on runs comes from the over.
Tinashe Panyangara comes into bowl. He begins with one on the pads and Patil flicks it towards deep square-leg and gets a four.
Utseya continues. Patil gets of the mark with a punch towards cover. Khan gets a single behind square on the leg side. Patil sweeps one to deep square-leg for a four.
Tendai Chatara will share the new ball with Utseya. He bowls one on a back of a length and the ball moves away after pitching. Anwar edges it to Brendan Taylor behind the wickets. Khurram Khan is the next batsman in. He gets of the mark with a single behind square on the leg side. Asif then pushes one towards short mid-off and takes off for a single. Sikandar Raza is quick onto it and hits the stumps at the bowler’s end with an under-arm throw. Asif is short of the crease. UAE have lost two wickets now.

Shaiman Anwar and Faizan Asif walk out to bat for UAE. Prosper Utseya will begin proceedings for Zimbabwe. Anwar gets of the mark with a single towards cover. Asif turns one towards fine-leg and gets of the mark. Anwar then hits one over mid-on for a four.

Toss: Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor wins the toss and elects to field. UAE will be led by Khurram Khan.

Zimbabwe need a win to keep their hopes alive of reaching the Super 10s. Even if they win, Ireland only have to match their result and the Europeans will go through to the next round. Zimbabwe lost against Ireland on the last ball. They then beat the Netherlands also on the last ball. UAE are out of the competition after losses to the Netherlands and Ireland.
