The ongoing cricket series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe — a historic event that marks the return of international cricket in the Asian country after six long years — has witnessed the Pakistani cricket fans embracing the occasion in a manner that will be remembered for years to come.

Amid heavy security, the fans have ensured jam-packed houses everywhere the matches have been played so far in the historic tour. Even though the hosts, Pakistan, have got the better of their opponents on all occasions, there is no lack of enthusiasm among the Pakistani cricket fans.

The cricket fans from Pakistan have not only ensured that they are ready on all match days to support their team, but they have also turned up in the stadiums with some really interesting posters. “We miss you India”, is certainly among the best as they want to see the Indian cricket team playing in their land, which would certainly be a dream come true for fans across the globe.  READ: “We miss you India,” reads banner at Gaddafi Stadium

Similarly, there have been a few funny ones as well. A Pakistani cricket fans donning traditional clothes, with a thick mustache, turned up during one of those games, with a poster showing why Pakistan is as good as the ‘Big Three’ of international cricket — India, Australia and England.

This fan’s poster showed three Pakistani cricketers — Shoaib Malik, Wasim Akram and Imran Khan — married to women from each of these ‘Big Three’ countries. Malik is married to Indian Tennis superstar Sania Mirza, Akram is married to Australian Shaniera Thompson whereas Imran’s ex wife, Jemima Goldsmith, is from UK.

These three countries have earned this term because of their domination in the cricket administration, which took the world by storm last year when they proposed changes in the functioning of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The highlight of the proposal was that the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Cricket Australia and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will have a greater control in the decision making matters in world cricket.
