Earlier, Nayar told MiD-DAY that he realised 30 is the right time for him to get married.
“I have realised that there is never the right time. I am already 30 and we knew that we aren’t getting any younger. So, I felt 30 is about time we get married,” Nayar said.
Nayar remembered when and where he met Natasha for the first time and who took the first step.
“I had gone for a haircut and she was my hairstylist. That’s how we met. The guy has to be the first one to do it. We were contemplating marriage for some time. I just said it very casually. There was no special atmosphere created,” Nayar added.
Nayar played three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) for India in 2009.
“I am lucky to have her. She has been very supportive and understanding. She was always there to pick me up rather than push me down,” he said.
