England have dominated the ODI series against Australia. They currently lead the series 4-0 and have a great chance of whitewashing the visitors. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow have been providing them with excellent starts, on which Alex Hales, Eoin Morgan, and Jos Buttler are merely building upon. And their spinners, Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, have been in tremendous form.
According to a BBC report, Rashid sounded upbeat ahead of the fourth ODI: “We are fairly confident. We’re playing well as a team as we have been doing so for a couple of years. It’s just another game and we have to take it a game at a time. We have the chance to win 5-0 so we are going to go out and give it our best shot. It is Australia, it is nice beating them but it is nice beating everybody else as well.”
Rashid (106) has picked up 11 wickets so far in the series and gone past the tally of Graeme Swann of 104 wickets, previously the most in ODIs by an English spinner. The final match is scheduled to be played on June 24 at Old Trafford, Manchester.
