Bangladesh are gearing up to clash against Afghanistan in a 3-match T20 International series. The series is scheduled to be played at Dehradun, India. Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim is of the opinion that Afghanistan are favourites heading into the series, given the form of Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Rashid and Mujeeb have picked 13 wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and 14 for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) respectively.

According to Cricbuzz, Mushfiqur also said that condition in India will help Afghanistan: ”They will play at their home ground, which will be a big advantage for them. Rashid Khan is a world-class bowler. No team in the IPL was able to take more than six to seven runs from him except one match. Then they got Test status and will play a Test match next. They are also a good side in ODIs and they have qualified for the World Cup. So everything will be in their favour and they will play in the familiar surface. So I think because of all these reasons we will start the series from behind.”

Bangladesh will be playing a practice match on June 1, before the 1st T20I on June 3 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium
