# Stanikzai’s match-winning knock is the highest individual score by an Afghanistan batsman at the Asia Cup.

# Afghanistan’s well-deserved 32-run victory is their 17th in 29 ODIs (lost 12) — success per cent 58.62.

# Shenwari’s aforesaid knock is his first fifty against a Test-playing side in ODIs.

# Shenwari’s splendid 81 is his highest score at the Asia Cup — his fourth fifty in ODIs. The said knock is the highest by a number seven batsman at the Asia Cup, eclipsing Chamara Kantha Kapugedera‘s unbeaten 55 against India at Dambulla on June 24, 2010.

# Shenwari’s above innings is the highest by a number seven batsman against Bangladesh in ODIs, bettering an unbeaten 75 by New Zealand’s Jacob Oram at Dakha on October 11, 2008.

# Shenwari has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the second time in ODIs. He had first received the MOM award against Scotland at Sharjah on March 8, 2013.

# For the second time in an ODI for Afghanistan, two middle-order batsmen have posted fifties — the first occasion was against Netherlands at Haque on July 7, 2010.

# Afghanistan put on 107 runs in their last ten overs — the highest by them in these overs in an ODI.

# Mominul Haque (50 off 72 balls) has registered his first fifty at the Asia Cup — his second in ODIs.

# Rubel Hossain and Ziaur Rahman were involved in a 40-run stand — Bangladesh’s highest ninth wicket partnership at the Asia Cup. The said partnership is the second highest at the event next only to the 46-run partnership between Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final at Colombo (RPS) on August 1, 2004.

# Ziaur Rahman has registered strike rate of 186.36 during his innings of 41 off 22 balls — the third fastest at the Asia Cup (minimum qualification: 30).

# Rahman hit three sixes, equalling an Asia Cup record by a number seven batsman. Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal hit three sixes during his innings of 51 off 41 balls against India at Dambulla on June 19, 2010.
