# Kumar Sangakkara (76 off 102 balls) has recorded his 85th fifty in ODIs — his first against Afghanistan. He became the first batsman to register three consecutive innings of fifty-plus in the present tournament — 67 vs Pakistan; 103 vs India and 76 vs Afghanistan.


# With 246 runs at an average of 82.00 in three innings, Sangakkara is the leading run-getter in the current series.


# Sri Lanka’s superb win has assured them a place in the Asia Cup final.

He became the first batsman other than Bangladeshi player to amass 1,000 runs in ODIs in Bangladesh.


# Sangakkara has got his 26th Man of the Match award in ODIs. Only two Sri Lankan players — Jayasuriya (48) and Aravinda de Silva (30) have received more MOM awards than Sangakkara in ODIs.


# Samiullah Shenwari is the top wicket-taker for Afghanistan in ODIs — 36 at an average of 25.97 in 30 matches. Hamid Hassan is second in the list – 35 at 18.94 runs apiece in 19 matches.
