Alastair Cook has reached his half-century in the fifth Test between India and England at The Oval. Cook has scored his third half-century of the series and has helped England get in control of the game. England are now 137 for one and are a few runs away from overhauling India’s challenge.
Cook got the milestone with a boundary through the off-side as he cut Ravichandran Ashwin. It had been a tough ride for him, but Cook has battled the odds and has turned it around since Southampton.
England are in total control of the game and India face a huge task before them. On Day One, England had bowled India out for 142 and since then, they have given them no chance of getting back.
