Australian batsman Alex Doolan suffered a side strain during a match for Australia’s National Performance Squad (NPS) XI against India’s National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.
According to Cricket Australia’s official website, the full extent of Doolan’s injury is not yet clear. CA physiotherapist David Beakley said, “[Doolan] will return home to Hobart to undergo further investigation and rehab ahead of his next playing commitments. He will have scans in Hobart which will provide a clear indication of the injury and the timeframe for his return to play.”
The NPS has been sent to India with the intention of getting some of their players to get the experience of playing in subcontinent conditions.
