Amit Mishra’s hilarious run out: Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2014
A rough description of what happened
May 8, 2014
What unfolded on Thursday during the first innings of the match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was a treat for the Gods, and hence too difficult to describe in words. However, given the unavailability of videos and a step-by-step pictorial description, here is a list.
Step 1: Amit Mishra missed the ball from James Faulkner. It went to Sanju Samson.
Step 2: Mishra tried to run a bye. Samson had a shy at the stumps. He missed it. It went to Faulkner.
Step 3: Mishra strolled back to the stumps at the pace of Inzamam-ul-Haq on a walk while after a heavy meal and on sedatives at three in the morning with his pads on. Meanwhile, Faulkner attempted to throw the stumps down from the bowler’s end. He missed, and the ball went back to Samson.
Step 4: Mishra did not change his pace and continued his saunter. Samson ran him out.
