Australia lost their first wicket early in the form of Chris Rogers who was run-out for 11 in the third Test at Perth. James Anderson at mid-wicket was accurate to hit the stumps and provide England the first breakthrough.
Rogers flicked the ball towards mid-wicket and called for a single. A miscommunication ensues between Rogers and Warner. But credit to Anderson who was quick to hit the stumps accurately. Earlier in the over, Rogers had struck consecutive boundaries.
While Anderson is bowling accurately, Stuart Broad has struggled to get his line right as he has been wayward bowling on the batsmen’s legs . David Warner and Shane Watson are batting.
Australian skipper Michael Clarke had won the toss and elected to bat. Captains of both the teams are playing their 100th Test.
