Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin was dismissed on 55 by Ben Stokes. Haddin shared a crucial 124-run partnership with Steve Smith to resurrect Australia’s innings from 143 for five.
Haddin was in some sort of discomfort against the short ball but towards the end of second session was looking confident. However, England persisted with their short ball barrage and finally managed to get Haddin after he pulled a short one to James Anderson at mid-wicket.
Haddin was earlier dropped by Michael Carberry.
