England lost the wicket of Michael Carberry post lunch for 31 in their chase of 504 in the third Test at Perth. Carberry and Joe Root put up a determined show post lunch and were cautious against the pacers.
Carberry who looked set on 31 got a ball from Shane Watson that angled into him. Carberry committed himself for a shot and failed to follow the angle of the delivery and the ball clipped his pads and went towards Brad Haddin behind the wicket. The Aussies appealed ferociously and after thinking for a while umpire Billy Bowden raises his finger.
Before lunch England lost their skipper Alastair Cook on the first ball of the innings bowled by Ryan Harris.
