London: England cricket coach Trevor Bayliss today called on team members to maintain their consistency for the rest of the Ashes series. Praising the team for its 2-1 lead over Australia, Bayliss said current performance was good, but there was a need to maintain it, BBC reported. England star bowler James Anderson has been ruled out from the fourth Ashes Test due to side strain. According to Bayliss, Durham’s Mark Wood would be a likely replacement for an injured Anderson. England stormed to an eight-wicket win over a shoddy Australia side in the third Ashes Test on Friday at Edgbaston. The hosts chased down a paltry target of 121 within 32.1 overs, thanks to Ian Bell‘s fluent 65 not out and Joe Root‘s unbeaten 38. The fourth Test in the five-match series would be held from 20th August at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. England have added pace bowlers Liam Plunkett and Mark Footitt to a 14-man squad announced Saturday for next week’s fourth Ashes Test against Australia at Trent Bridge. Derbyshire quick Plunkett, who played the last of his 13 Tests against India in July 2014 and uncapped Derbyshire left-armer Footitt have both been included after England spearhead James Anderson was ruled out with a side injury. “With James Anderson missing this Test through injury and some concerns over Mark Wood’s workload in the build-up to the last Test, we felt that bringing in two extra bowlers in Liam Plunkett and Mark Footitt was necessary,” said national selector James Whitaker in an England and Wales Cricket Board statement. READ: Steven Finn’s dream spell spells Australia’s doom in Ashes 2015 3rd Test
