Australia a very competitive side, says Baba Aparajith

Baba Aparijith is upbeat about India’s match against Australia in the final of the 2012 Under-19 World Cup. Aparajith believes Australia is a very competitive side and will give a tough fight.

 

“It feels really good. Australia is a very competitive side. We are looking forward to that match,” he was quoted as saying by the official website of BCCI.

 

Aparajith won his secong consecutive Man of the Match award for his brilliant performance with the ball against New Zealand.

 

“I am just trying to keep the momentum from the last match going. The last match and this match [were] two crucial games. I am trying to stick to my basics,” he said on Thursday.

 

Aparajith also praised the Kiwis for putting a tough fight. New Zealand lost the match with nine runs.

 

“They fielded really well, they bowled well and they pushed us in the field also,” he said.

 

“He also praised his teammates for their vital contribution,” Aparajith concluded.
