Australia need Shaun Marsh, believes Shane Warne

Legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne on Thursday said that Shaun Marsh is a good players and the Australian selectors need to back Shaun Marsh in all forms of the game.

“Note to Australian selectors, Shaun Marsh is a seriously good player, pick him & back him in all forms of the game… Aust need him…”(sic) Warne wrote on his Twitter page.

Marsh has been in and out of the Australian team from a long time. In seven Test matches Marsh has averaged only 27.36. In One-Day internationals, he has fared slightly better averaging 36.40 in 36 matches so far including two tons and eight half-centuries.

Marsh rose to fame during the first edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he represented Kings XI Punjab. His T20 record has been phenomenal. In 91 matches, he has averaged 41.90 at a strike-rate of above 132.
