After a gruelling Ashes 2013-14, Australia and England commence the One-Day International (ODI) leg of the tour with the first game at Melbourne. England would be looking to salvage some pride after they were beaten 5-0, meanwhile Australia are confident and would be eager to do well here as well. During the England tour last year, Australia had won the ODI series and they have a good side on hand.

Australia are going into this ODI without Mitchell Johnson, the star of the Ashes 2013-14 and that is how they are going to approach it. They have called the ODI regulars for this leg and the likes of Aaron Finch etc. would be in the side. George Bailey will have a key role to play as he has excelled in this format since his debut.
