Sri Lanka’s chase of Australia‘s total of 222 for nine in the fourth One-Day International at the Sydney Cricket Ground has been delayed due to rain.
Sri Lanka were 14 for no loss in 3.2 overs before the umpires decided to stop play.
Earlier in the first innings, David Warner (60) and Mitchell Starc (52 not out) produced fighting knocks to help Australia reach a respectable total after Nuwan Kulasekara and Lasith Malinga were among the wickets again for the second match in succession.
Kulasekara followed up his five-wicket haul in the third ODI with three wickets for 30 runs in his 10 overs. Malinga, meanwhile, took two for 33 in his 10.
Brief Scores: Australia 222 for 9 in 50 overs (David Warner 60, Mitchell Starc 52*; Nuwan Kulasekara 3 for 30, Lasith Malinga 2 for 33) vs Sri Lanka 14 for no loss in 3.2 overs (Tillakaratne Dilshan 9*, Mahela Jayawardene 4*)
