Australia win toss, elect to bat vs India in 4th Test at Dharamsala
As far as the Indian team is concerned for the 4th Test against Australia, they have moved in with three spinner off the five bowlers they are playing in the side.
Australian skipper Steven Smith won the coin toss and elected to bat in the fourth and final Test against hosts India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Himachal Pradesh cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala on Saturday. Smith credited the venue for it outstanding infrastructure and also stated that itis a good wicket to bat on, especially for the first three days, leading to his decision to bat first, while he moves in with an unchaged side from the 3rd Test at Ranchi. Meanwhile, with Virat Kohli being ruled out, Ajinkya Rahane is leading the Indian side, as he makes a couple of changes, by bringing in debutant Kuldeep Yadav, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar replacing Ishant Sharma. Earlier, before the toss, India batting coach Sanjay Bangar stated that Kohli was not fit enough to play, and as a precaution, Kohli was ruled out of the fourth Test. Also, Kuldeep had earlier received his Test cap ahead of his debut Test match. As far as the pitch is concerned for the Test, it has a certain amount of grass on it, as former Indian batsman VVS Laxman said, “Doesn’t matter where we play in India, you always win the toss and bat first.”, while former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee too agreed with him.
