Australia Women posted a mammoth total of 209 after being put to bat in the final of the T20I tri-series against England Women. Meg Lanning anchored the innings with her 88* taking the score past 200. England lost 9 wickets in pursuit of chasing the score as they lost the match by 57 runs.

Australia managed to pick early wickets reducing England to 14 for 2 in the second over itself. Danielle Wyatt, the top run-scorer of the series played well for her 34(17) but could not capitalise on it with changing partners. Natalie Sciver (50) and Natalie Sciver (30) held fort for England but failed to cope up with the required rate.

Megan Schutt starred with the ball for the Aussies. She ended up with impressive figures of 4-0-14-3. Delissa Kimmince and Ashleigh Gardner shared two wickets each. England lost four wickets in the last three overs.

Earlier in the match, Tash Farrant dismissed Beth Mooney for a golden duck in the first over. Alyssa Healy (33) and Ashleigh Gardner (33) stitched a partnership of 61 runs for the second wicket. Alyssa was dismissed in the eighth over by Jenny Gunn and it was all Meg Lanning show from there on.

Meg smashed 88 off 45 balls off which 70 runs came only through boundaries. She smashed 16 fours in her innings, whereas the the total of fours in England innings was 15. She was well supported by Elyse Villani who contributed with 51 runs.

Australia Women have showed sheer dominance in their tour of India with the loss of only one game in the limited overs format.
