In a bizarre incident, an Australia fan named Alex Hind was arrested and fined 3,000 Sri Lanka rupees, apart from being sentenced to prison for a week. His only crime was that he ran on the field stark naked in the final session of play on day one at Pallekele Stadium, which is hosting first Test between Sri Lanka and Australia. Hind ran on the field which was covered as play was called-off due to bad weather. Anyone who runs naked on the field  is known as a streaker. Hind jumped over the fence, slipped and slide on the cover without wearing any clothing. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Sri Lanka vs Australia, 1st Test at Kandy

What was shocking that no security personnel was found and Hind easily went back to his place in the ground. Hind was eventually apprehended by the authorities on Tuesday itself as he was leaving the ground. Hind was later released on bail after spending a night in the lock-up before proceeding to the Kandy Magistrate Court as reported by cricket.com.au.  Day one saw Sri Lanka win the toss and choose to bat. However they failed to make use of the won toss and were bundled out for a mere total of 117.

It was a combine effort from the Australian bowling attack as each one of them picked at least a wicket. Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon bagged 3 wickets each, while O’Keefe and Mitchell Starc had 2 to their names too.
