Visitors Bangladesh had a shaky start to the second Test against Zimbabwe as they lost two wickets in the first session at Harare.
Zimbabwe won the toss and put Mushfiqur Rahim’s side into bat. Bangladesh openers Tamim Iqbal and Jaharul Islam started well before the latter lost his concentration and perished to a rash shot. Islam did well to counter the early swing but fell for a tossed up delivery from Keegan Meth and ended up giving a simple catch to Malcolm Waller at cover.
Next batsman Mohammad Ashraful followed suit as he tried to pull a short delivery that was bowled outside his offstump and ended up edging it to Graeme Creamer at Gully to reduce Zimbabwe to 58 for two. Momiul Haque joined Iqbal in the middle and the duo added 31 runs to take Bangaldesh to 89 for two at Lunch.
Brief Scores: Bangladesh 89 for 2 (Tamim Iqbal 40*; Keegan Meth 1 for 14) vs Zimbabwe
