After being reduced to 117 for 5, Bangladesh finished Day One of the second Test versus Australia at 253 for 6. Anything in excess of 300 will hold them in good stead with visitors set to bat fourth. The live cricket streaming of the match will be available on Hotstar, while the live telecast of the match will be available on Star Sports Select 1 and Star Sports Select 1 HD. In Bangladesh, the live streaming of the match is available on gazitv.com, while the live telecast is on Gazi TV. In Australia, the live streaming is available on foxsports.com, while the live telecast will be available on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 1 HD.

Earlier, Bangladesh lost opener Tamim Iqbal for 9. They were in a spot of bother as Nathan Lyon wrecked havoc in the middle. Nonetheless, a steady 105-run stand between skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and Sabbir Rahman bailed them out. Contributions from Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar and Mominul Haque also enabled Bangladesh to end slightly ahead of Australia, while Nasir Hossain ensured there was no mishap towards the end. For visitors, Lyon added another five-for under his belt, but couldn’t get much support from the other end.

Australia are trailing 0-1 in the two-match series, and will drop to 6th spot in ICC Test Rankings if they lose at Chittagong and the final scoreline reads 0-2. This could also be Bangladesh’s third ever series whitewash. They had earlier defeated West Indies (in 2009) and Zimbabwe (in 2014).
