The live telecast of Day Four of the second Test between New Zealand and Bangladesh, at Christchurch, will be available on Sky Go. On Day One of the second and final Test, Bangladesh were bundled out for 289. Soumya Sarkar (86) and Shakib Al Hasan (59) added 127 runs for the third wicket to lend some solidity to the total. Once they were dismissed, wicket-keeper batsman Nurul Hasan (47) continued to fight and guided his team to a competitive score. Tim Southee, with his five-for, was the pick of the bowlers. He was complimented well by his new-ball partner Trent Boult (4 wickets).

Bangladesh side then came back hard with the ball to restrict New Zealand at 260 for 7 at stumps on Day Two. Kiwis were off to a steady start as Tom Latham (68) continued with his rich vein of form. He was well supported by veteran batsman, Ross Taylor (77), but late flurry of wickets saw them give away the advantage to Bangladesh. From 252 for 4, hosts ended day at 260 for 7. They lost 3 wickets for 8 runs to end the day in balance, as Shakib’s 3-for kept his side in the hunt. Henry Nicholls (56*) was holding the front for his side at stumps on Day Two.

With this fight-back, the visitors showed they were here to sweat it out and kept the match nicely poised at the moment. A lot of action was expected between bat and ball on Day Three, but rain played spoilsport and did not allow a single over to be bowled on Day Three. With Day Three being washed out completely, we will have an early start (10:30 am local time) on Day Four, which should hopefully be an exciting day’s play at Christchurch.
