Statistical highlights of the One-Day International (ODI) between Bangladesh and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2014 cricket tournament at Mirpur.

# Mohammad Hafeez (52 off 55 balls) has recorded his 20th fifty in ODIs — his second against Bangladesh. His record at the Asia Cup is superb — his aggregate being 400 (ave.50.00) in eight innings, including a hundred and three fifties.

# Pakistan (329 for seven) have registered their highest successful chase in ODIs, eclipsing the 322 for six against India at Mohali on November 8, 2007. They have successfully chased 300 or more five times in ODIs — four times against India and once against Bangladesh.

# Pakistan have won all 12 matches against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup — success percentage is 100.00.

# Bangladesh (326 for three) have registered their highest total in the Asia Cup, eclipsing the 300 for eight against UAE at Lahore on June 24, 2008. The said score is the first 300-plus total for Bangladesh against Pakistan in ODIs, obliterating the 285 for seven at Lahore on April 13, 2008.

# The above total is Bangladesh’s highest in ODIs, eclipsing the 320 for eight against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo on August 11, 2009.

# Anamul Haque (100 off 132 balls) has registered his second hundred in ODIs — his best is 120 against West Indies at Khulna on December 2, 2012. He became the first Bangladeshi batsman to record a hundred against Pakistan at the Asia Cup.

# Anamul became the fourth Bangladeshi batsman to register a century at the Asia Cup. He has joined Mushfiqur Rahim (117 against India at Fatullah on February 26, 2014, Alok Kapali (115 against India at Karachi on June 28, 2008) and Mohammad Ashraful (109 against UAE at Lahore on June 24, 2008).

# Anamul became the first Bangladeshi opener to register a century against Pakistan in ODIs.

# Anamul is the third Bangladeshi player after Shakib Al Hasan and Nasir Hossain to post a century against Pakistan in ODIs.

# Imrul Kayes and Anamul were involved in a first-wicket partnership of 150 — Bangladesh’s highest at the Asia Cup.

The said partnership is their second highest for any wicket behind the 160 for the second wicket between Imrul Kayes and Junaid Siddique against Pakistan at Dambulla on June 21, 2010.

# The 150-run partnership is the highest for Bangladesh for the first wicket against Pakistan in ODIs — their second highest overall behind the 170 between Mehrab Hossain and Shahriar Hossain against Zimbabwe at Dhaka on March 25, 1999.

# Mominul Haque (51 off 47 balls) has posted his third fifty in ODIs — his first against Pakistan.

# Imrul Kayes (59 off 75 balls) has posted his tenth fifty in ODIs — his second against Pakistan.

# Umur Gul (10-1-76-0) became the first Pakistani bowler to concede 70 runs or more without capturing a single wicket at the Asia Cup.

# Mushfiqur Rahim (51 not out off 33 balls) has registered his first fifty against Pakistan — his 14th overall in ODIs. The said knock is his second score of fifty or more at the Asia Cup, next only to the 117 against India at Fatullah on February 26, 2014.

# Four fifties have been registered for Bangladesh for the first time in an ODI. In all, five instances of four fifty-plus scores in an innings have been registered at the Asia Cup — three for Pakistan and one each for Bangladesh and India.

# The first four batsmen have registered fifty or more in an innings for the first time in an Asia Cup game. For the third time in a limited-overs international, eight innings of fifty or more have been recorded.

# Shahid Afridi, during his 59 off 25 balls, has recorded strike rate of 236.00 — the highest in an innings at the Asia Cup (minimum qualification: 50).

# Afridi, with an18-ball fifty, has established a record for the quickest half-century at the Asia Cup. Afridi thus became the first batsman to post three 18-ball fifties in ODIs. Sanath Jayasuriya holds an ODI record with a 17-ball fifty against Pakistan at Singapore on April 7, 1996.

# Simon O’Donnell and Glenn Maxwell are two other batsmen to have recorded 18-ball fifties in ODIs.

# Afridi’s second half-century against Bangladesh is his 36th in ODIs. He became the first batsman to post seven sixes in an innings at the Asia Cup — his first instance being during his 109 off 76 balls against Sri Lanka at Dambulla on June 15, 2010.

# Afridi has got his fifth Man of the Match award against Bangladesh in ODIs, his 32nd in ODIs — the most by a Pakistani player.

# Ahmed Shehzad (103) has recorded his first century against Bangladesh — his fifth in ODIs. The said knock is his first hundred at the Asia Cup. He has posted four centuries in a winning cause in ODIs — his aggregate being 1002 (ave.40.08) in 25 matches.

# The Pakistan-Bangladesh game has produced 655 runs for the loss of ten wickets — the second highest at the Asia Cup behind the 659 runs for 10 wickets between India and Pakistan at Dhaka on March 18, 2012. The said aggregate is a record in an ODI between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

# Eighteen sixes have been recorded in the match — a record at the Asia Cup, bettering the 14 in a match involving India (14) and Hong Kong (0) at Karachi in 2008.

# Fawad Alam (74 off 70 balls) has recorded a career-best score in ODIs — his fifth fifty.

# Bangladesh have produced 121 runs in their last ten overs while the last ten overs by both sides (combined) aggregated 232 runs — the highest in an ODI since 2000, eclipsing the 229 in an ODI involving Australia and South Africa at Johannesburg on March 12, 2006.
