The Tri-Series between Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka has gone underway from January 15. The first match will be played between host Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. The last time Bangladesh played an ODI, they lost the three-match series against South Africa. However, they had a decent run in limited-overs cricket as they levelled the series against Sri Lanka and reached the semi-final of 2017 Champions Trophy prior to the South Africa tour. For Zimbabwe, it was a dreams come true sort of a year when they gave a tough fight to Sri Lanka thrashing them by 3-2 in the five-match series. It was a historic victory for the side.

As for the head-to-head record between the sides, both the teams have played 70 ODIs. From the 70 ODIs, the win-loss ratio is 39:28 in favour of Bangladesh. Three matches were abandoned. As for Dhaka, Bangladesh are ahead with 16 wins while Zimbabwe have managed to win just 9.

The tri-series will be shown on Star Select HD 2 and Star Select 2. The live streaming of the match will be available on hotstar.com. In Bangladesh, the streaming will be available on gazitv.com, along with the live telecast on Gazi TV.
